Hi you will need a factory harness adapter, and SWC interface. Its pretty straight forward. I would suggest giving crutchfield.com a visit. It helped me learn alot and find and buy the things listed above.

I put this on an Expedition limited and the volume is too high. Had to bottom out the equalizer, turn off loudness just to play radio at volume 1. There is also a speaker hiss without anything playing when volume is above 0 but doesn’t get worse as volume goes up. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Same here man. I know I’m late, but I have one in my 97 OBS suburban for long trips the screen size is awesome, but on a hot day, I get no sound unless I disconnect the screen from the frame which is weird as hell. Sometimes it won’t play unless I literally pull my dash kit and unplug the harness for 60 seconds and reconnect. Kinda pissed I even bought the damn thing 🤦🏻‍♂️

Your vehicle can fit a double din stereo, however there is a complication with this head unit. In order to replace your stereo you must use the Metra 99-5848CH dash kit. They're very different. This isn't an Android headunit like the Dasiata. The Dasaita can download apps, access the internet, all that whereas the Dual can't. But the Dual doe shave beeter power output from the RCA pre-amp outputs

Quality Mobile Video What if I already have an amp and the output isn’t a factor. Which would be the Best in general, dasaita or dual over all? About to pull the trigger on buying and want to get the best bang for my bucks. My head unit was stolen out of my 07 Navigator and need to replace it. The old had satellite radio available with all the goodies from Pioneer.

@@petedavis1040 , the dasaita is a minimum $200-$250 more than this unit, so you aren't comparing apples to apples. If you are just trying to look for a carplay/android auto option then I'd go with this considering the price difference in addition to the US based support.

Quality Mobile Video please do!!!!!!!! Your review has certainly made a HUGE influence on my buying decision! I have looked into Pioneer 4500/8500nex and not a fan of their UI Sony ax210/ax5000/7000/8000 is lacking HD Radio, aux port, AND WIRELESS CARPLAY/AUTO. Kenwood DNX476 is great but NO HD RADIO :( and too expensive for my taste Seem like there is NO perfect car stereo at all. MAYBE JENSEN CAR1000....MAYBE :(

Nice video. This is pretty interesting. What dash kit would I need to install in a 2005 GMC Envoy with the Bose system? Also, I want to get rid of the stupid Bose amp and go with an aftermarket 4 channel amp for my interior speakers. What do I need to bypass the Bose but maintain the steering wheel controls and aftermarket amp? Thanks in advance.
