This is the first time I have seen this video version of the live performance. It makes TOTAL sense that they had to play the record for the multiple voice part. When it was recorded, the band did so many overdubs in the studio it is impossible to duplicate it live with only 4 voices live. I LOVE QUEEN!

If you ever see this, you should listen to "The Show Must Go On" It was one of the last things Queen recorded before Freddie died. They didn't think he'd be strong enough to actually record it, the story goes that he told them, "I'll effing do it, darling", downed a shot of vodka, and went in and killed it in one recording.
