im jamaican....i notice we have all the ingredients here to make this dish. All this time...we had cassava, yam, plaintain....and it could make fufu. No one here makes fufu, but just by watching ur video, fufu could easily become one of jamaica's favourite dishes if we learn how to make it, and start selling it in restuarants. Amazing video. I love Nigerian dishes.

I'm jamaican and my grand father used to make fufu out of cassava. I'm in my 60's, my father is 103 years old and my grand father would have been over 150 yes old. Reason I'm explaining is because perhaps from the old days, some.e of our people used to make authentic African meals. I make and eat fufu as do my children but only because I was taught. We come from a long line of maroons.

Very wonderful and appetizing. Thanks for the new style. How ever the species of cassava in Igbo land are highly acidic and that's the reason for soaking. I suggest that to avoid any health hazards, if you are not sure of the species of cassava you are using, it is safer to soak the cut cassava in water at least over night, then drain the water and blend. Just my personal opinion, please. Thanks.

@@lunaanimationsyt5524 There are lots of fufus. I think the one you are referring to is yam flour fufu, which is different from cassava fufu. There is also amala, eba, rice flour fufu, original authentic iyan-pounded African yam fufu, green plantain flour fufu, oatmeal fufu, and others that I have never tried before. They all taste differently. Fufu is the name they call them in nonAfrican countries because it is hard to explain the differences of these meals to nonAfrican people. Calling them all fufu just makes things easier. The most famous one that nonAfricans try is the yam powder fufu, and you can get the powder on Amazon. I think you are referring to the yam powder fufu.

Thank you so much Queenvarieties. This reminds me of polenta/cormeal - delicious. I remember my Jamaican Grandmother cooking bami which is made from cassava and as you mention she would soak for a couple of days and could use the by product as starch for ironing clothes. Also Ackee also has the potential to be poisonous if not harvested at the right time - we have to listen and learn from our elders about herbs, food , drink, libation and meditations, that's why they live long!

n life, in addition to the sacred and beautiful family love, we also have pure and lasting friendships. Those are the people who confide, share the joys and sorrows in life and study. Friendship is the feeling between friends of the same age, built on the basis of mutual understanding and sympathy, together building pure and close friendship, lasting. Friendship is not only about appearing together in joy, but also about being ready to help and care for each other when in trouble. Not for your own benefit, but "against you", change feelings with you. In life, there are friendships that make us feel touched and admired. As a guy who has not cared about rain or sun for eight years, carrying his friends to school or friends helping each other to study successfully. But there are many people who make friends just for self-interest, taking advantage to achieve their own goals. Therefore, "choose friends to play" is advice for each of us, because having trusted and sincere friends by our side will help us have more companions throughout life.

We both decided to prepare your recipe and it turned out just fine 🙂 but I don't know what happened to the taste, it had this mixture of sweet and sour taste, so I want to know if that's how the taste is suppose to be. Thank 😊 you
