Review Note: explorekorean.net/beginner1-lesson22/ Correction) translation in 3:02 should be "Where are you going?" Sorry I put the wrong meaning by mistake! Hi everyone, here’s the answer to the homework: (copied from @mochichuu who got all the answers right, but there were also others who got them right! regardless of how many you got it right, thank you for responding to the homework

@Snehal Machave ㅔ is used very commonly in Korean words! :) ㅔ and ㅐ have practically the same sound, and all you need to be careful of is the spelling. So some words are used with ㅔ and others with ㅐ. This is something you need to get used to by repeatedly reviewing the words and by being mindful of how they are spelled. It's okay to make a spelling mistakes at first, though! You'll get better as you keep studying. I hope this lesson here helps: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKPakpmAmqenbq8

I started to learn korean with no previous exposure to it. Here is how to do it. 1) Learn hangul from any KZbin video.(this was before i knew miss vicky's channel. So you can learn from it too) 2)learn "1000 must know words for beginners" from koreanclass101 youtube channel. It comes in one long video. I recommend downloading it. 3)Come to Miss vickey's channel & look for "korean grammer" in playlists. You will find such precious korean lessons. Easy to follow. Great teacher. Always thankful for her work. Summary: 1)learn hangul (korean alphabet) 2)learn 1000 must know words. 3)stick to miss vickey's channel. Thanks again Miss vicky.

How to use 있어 ? 있어 means *there is* but some korean use it this way -> 앉아있어
@KoreanwithMissVicky4 жыл бұрын
"Verb+고 있어" is a Present progressive that means "is (currently) doing verb." So 앉아 있어 can mean two things: I am currently staying seated. And second, Stay seated (command/suggestion). This might not be enough for you to understand, but i will do a lesson on present progressive too. but for now hope this helps you get the gist of it

Could you please make a video concerning pronouns where you tell when we have to use 분 and 들 and when we can omit them??
@KoreanwithMissVicky4 жыл бұрын
You mean 분 and 들 right? 분 is used in place of "사람" or "명," so it can be a noun that means "a person" or it can be a counter word that's used for how many people. So when you say 이 분은 우리 엄마야, it means this "person" is my mom. You say 분 instead of 사람 to show more respect. Also, for counter word, you can say "손님 여덟 분 있어요" you mean there are eight customers. Instead of 손님 여덟명 있어요, you replace 명 with 분, also to show respect to the customers. And 들 is placed after a noun to make it plural. But unlike in English, we are not really strict with singular and plural. So when you say you generally like something, you can just say 저는 사과를 좋아해요 (I like apple) instead of 저는 사과들을 좋아해요 (I like apples.) But in situations when you need to specify that something is plural, you can put -들. e.g. 들판에 소들이 있어요. (There are cows on the field.) 아이들이 보여요. (I can see children.) So yes, plural particle -들 doesn't really play a very important role in Koran grammar, but this is something I think many native English speakers would find hard to get used to. Just like Koreans have hard time understanding when to put a, an, the and plural noun. This is all I have for now, but hope this helped for now 😭
@carolina.darling4 жыл бұрын
빅키샘Miss Vicky thank you very much ☺️ this has helped me a lot and yes I meant 들 (will correct it).
