I was yelling, no, no, no when I saw the extra fold. It broke my heart, but it's part of life.

I couldn’t see it from my side but when I watched the film I was yelling no,no too. I thought my son should have stopped me but not being a quilter it didn’t register to him. Anyway it’s fixed. Took about 20 minutes. Good lesson for the viewers. I’m human and make mistakes.

Thank you for helping me figure out what to do with lots of strips. I thought about something like this, but I was trying to match. You explain so well. Thanks again.😊❤

Another great tutorial. In a future video, can you talk a little bit about 108" wide backing fabric (if you already have, I missed it). Backing is confusing to me for some reason. Your videos have helped me immensely, but a few tips about the wide backing measurements would also help me.

Lately I have had to piece backs and had to match pattern repeat. So keep in mind if you have fabric that you need to match a repeat (as with home decor sewing), you need to add extra. I use my design board to help with that...and pin my pieces up and mark/match accordingly. Great primer on quilt math and factors to consider (really factor!) for upsizing or downsizing blocks. If the result is not you your ruler it will not work.

I would love to hear what you would do with a bunch of non baby jungle animal fabric. My family bought me a lot of yardage that I would love to do a king size quilt with and with very little waste

I like to glue baste my straps. They don't shift and it doesn't matter which direction I sew.

Yes, it was two videos ago. I made it using Deb Tucker’s Shaded Nine Patch technique. You can watch her video too. Mine uses all stash except the backing.

Did anyone know if there are similar charities to which one can donate quilts in the UK?

Thanks for providing all the information on how to calculate the backing. The one thing I don‘t get is the division by 36? Where does this number come from? Is it 40 inches minus the 4 inches for quilting on the domestic machine? I would be very happy to understand this calculation and where the numbers come from. Thanks I’m advance

There are 36" in a yard of fabric. That tells you how many yards to buy.

@@terryannglandon3853 Thanks for clearing up this number. I'm used to the metric system. Now I totally understand the calculation.

Can't use the knee lift.... it's at the wrong height/angle. It's a good way for me to be in pain after a short time of quilting
