I love the no-intro-thing. Keeps it tight and simple.

I recently found a script called "Folder items" made by LKC that does something similar for what concerns the item grouping, but the MIDI item way seems very handy as well!

Nice tip , I have to get item rulers in my workflow , they are very usefull. I had a similar situation recently, with vocal track takes ,sent to me as separate wavs and I thought of another way doing it. I trimmed all takes exactly at the same start point and then from the actions I did "implode items on same track into takes". Then it was the usual reaper comping. (I guess for drums I would have to do it for each track, then group them, then edit as usual) Of course this is working if the takes were recorded with a click track)

thank you Jon! Those HUGE grid size buttons is so ugly... Cockos should implement "cubase like" button to view current grid size value.

What differences you noticed when you changed to a Windows system?

streaming and recording videos got easier. editing videos and making thumbnails got harder. file management, batch renaming much harder.
