Absolutely do not skip professions. Depending on your class, they can be invaluable. And if something like skinning, you'll get a lot of raw gold value.

@@mertzileli7691 id say its the easiest passive gold as your skinning what you kill as you quest, Where as other professions you need to go gather the items first, With skinning you can just vendor as you go.

@@farguc I'll take my time but we can't really say people "have time" before raid, 21 days to MC opening, if people take 150 hours to get to 60 and play every day it's like 7 hours/day or something.

i play warrior i know im slow i will focus on killing and skinning enemies in the first 2 zones, avoid starting quests and leveling First Aid,Fishing while im grinding the Crabs in westfall (is also a nice spot for grinding)

what do you mean? it's the best part of vanilla. I have played for decades and I haven't even done all the quests. You have 8 races, 2 different continents, 2 sides, hundreds of dungeons and thousands of thousands of quests all different. Take your time, read the quests and enjoy. there is an addons that read the quest too with a nice voice like audio book.

Some of us can handle doing the same quests again and again and some of us can’t. I probably can still quest fine if I forced myself to but why would I sour my experience this time around by doing that?

@@xCaLLMeGHeTToI’m in the same boat I went super hard in sod and got burnt out with quests I started just boosting my alts but I’m not gonna go to hard for fresh ima just casually level here and there since I still perfer sod and spend most my time there so I’ll probably just level rogue and maybe warrior and get on for a bit get a few levels and dip I think most people just kill it for themselves trying to get to 60 as fast as possible to “not miss out” with vanilla and 40 man raiding you could go many lockouts without getting loot lol and there’s no gdkp so doubt you’ll be that behind anyway

Not getting your mount at 40 will slow you down. So you should lvl your professions at least if they make you money.

Not an illegitimate take though, for some people the entire leveling process doesn't really count as "something to do" because they play for endgame. Leveling is just the obstacle in the way of that, and they want more top-loaded content at endgame to do.
