Cool. I didn't know that. Thanks!

Someone commented and I guess deleted their comment afterward because I can't find it, but basically they said this was really helpful because they make car commercials for dealers. I did that for about two years during the 2008 recession. I WISH I had thought of this then! So know that this tutorial was aimed precisely for people making those types of spots. I hope this helps you all to keep killing it.

We appreciate that! The reality is, without being able to post constantly, the algorithm isn't going to help and it's going to take a while. 🤣

No, we’ve just been busy and have been keeping up with Patreon and releasing free products. There’s two of us, we each have two young kids, and we need to work. KZbin doesn’t pay our bills unfortunately.

My dude I did not know this - great little tip! Also thanks for opening up - been a Patron for a while now but often miss the windows and then - when I have some free time or when I'm looking for an asset I can't access it easily - so that's fantastic news and you have me a permanent supporter!

Thanks! Yeah, there's a post about the decision but our community felt that it was helpful to leave it open for all. Also, it was always fine to message me if you missed something. I'm sorry that happened to you, but now it should never be an issue again! Thanks for being a patron!

Thanks! We're still here. We've been making stuff for patrons consistently since they are things we build anyway, but we've been short on time and filming tutorials takes a lot of time above just creating elements, looks, and our normal R&D. That said, there's a lot of stuff we need to film from the past year of our R&D.

Wow, that's incredible! I do price lockups quite a bit and I hate making changes to them. (and as an art director with strict typography standards, people working with me hate it even more!) I wish you put out tutorials more often but when you do, it's greatly appreciated!
@Workbenchtv3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! In one of my old jobs I did hundreds of these, and it only just occurred to me the other day to do it this way-now that I rarely do them. 😂 At least I can pass it on and make other people's lives easier. We're working on doing more. We're not going to go another full year without a tutorial.

Thank you for this! Just a quick tip, under animator > range selector > advanced, you can change the "based on" measure and instead of characters you can pick words, make it even easier to edit ;) great job!
@Workbenchtv3 жыл бұрын
You're welcome! And yeah, I know you can do that. What I was saying was unclear. I meant that I wish you could have it select by word when you set them up like I did (with a selection). Unless there's a hotkey you can press or something when doing that, it only picks characters and you have to manually set it to words.
