We had a lady in our group who used cushion panels for 48" square quilts for a hospice, the size was perfect for people in wheel chairs or if they were sitting out, when they passed the quilt was always given to the family. One dear lady had come from England as a small child and didn't have any relatives in Australia so asked for her quilt to be sent to a brother in England, he then wrote a letter to the maker saying how much it ment to him as he couldn't come to see his sister before she passed so loved your tutorial today. The lady made close to 300 quilts has now passed so we are planning a workshop weekend and all make a quilt in honour of Beryl and donate them to the hospice in memory of all her hard work.

Angela, have you considered doing an all over design challenge? You know, for those quick quilts or to help get through that big stack of quilt tops? I’m getting better with the challenges, but quilting big is hard to maintain space. Can you give some tips or design helps for this? Thank you. It was great to see the Midnight Quilter again

Is there a formula for half squares four at a time sewing around edges? FOR EXAMPLE If I want finished HST to be finished at 3", start with Squares at what size?

Since you are starting with yardage & not pre-cuts, why do you choose to use the half square triangle method that creates bias edges?

Not a fan of this method for HST due to the bias cut, it is bordered with squares and rectangles that will help stabilize it. It might be a little quicker as marking the diagonal line for the traditional method takes a bit more time. I also pin the diagonal seam so it doesn’t distort anyway when sewn to the adjacent square so that the diagonal doesn’t go wonky. This is especially true for a pinwheel arrangement.

Detest the way this is marketed!! The kit shows FROM 89.95! The backing fabric is not included in the kit so in order to get the same thing she shows here it is actually around 135.00. Why can't ya'll just actually show the full price of the kit I clouding backing to start with , then if you don't want the backing it would be cheaper. That way people do not click on it and get all excited thinking it is a great deal at 89.95 for everything (including backing).

I wanted to purchase the pattern only. It was going to cost $51 standard shipping for a $6 pattern at a minimum in US$. unfortunately no digital option. Disappointing. So I didn't purchase after-all😢. Boo hoo!
