Over the years James Ingram's voice became even smoother. It still hurts that he is gone.

Oh my Gosh,I have lived long enough, to watch QUINCY JONES CELEBRATE 9 DECADES OF LIFE. THIS IS HIS 80TH BIRTHDAY AND WATCHED HIS 90TH. I GREW UP LISTENING TO QUINCY Jones compositions for so many great artists. I am trying to make a playlist,of the great artists in my lifetime for my great granddaughters . My grandsons are getting lessons, every month so they appreciate and respect the older legends of music. QUINCY will never be old.and his music will for ever be respected. I am so happy, when tributes are given,while the great/ icons /legends in the entertainment and movie,fashion, govetnment,news, journalism, television-talk shows etc,while they are alive. I am a Baby Boomer, but grew up listening to the great bands,singers,actresses, actors,dancers,Thespians, etc.and I am so grateful for my parents,grandparents and aunts and uncles, who taught me and my siblings to appreciate, THE ARTS, THE SOCIAL LEADERS AND GOD. MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE INSTILLED THAT APPRECIATION IN OUR CHILDREN. MY PARENTS WERE MUSICIANS AND SINGERS SO I AM GRATEFUL I CAN PASS THE LEGACY DOWN.

One of the most underrated musicians that was better than most! Mr. James Ingram sang his heart out with every performance. It was unfortunate that I never got to hear his magical, hypnotic and beautiful voice in person. He surely didn't deserve what was put on his plate but he handled it and took it on the chin and fought with all his heart and soul to the bitter end. I hope you didnt suffer...... A voice like that and a great man behind it! Obviously you were wanted somewhere else. I guarantee you won't be over looked and underrated there. Rest in peace James, thanks for showing all of society what a good man is and how to channel life with a golden voice. You are missed and loved by many!!!😢❤

How do you keep the music playing? How do you make it last? How do you keep the song from fading Too fast? How do you lose yourself to someone And never lose your way? How do you not run out of new things To say? And since you know we're always changing How can it be the same? And tell me how year after year You're sure your heart won't fall apart Each time you hear his name? I know the way I feel for you is now or never The more I love, the more that I'm afraid That in your eyes I may not see forever, forever If we can be the best of lovers Yet be the best of friends If we can try with every day to make it better as it grows With any luck than I suppose The music never ends I know (how do you keep the music playing)
@rc47nt443 жыл бұрын
Main results You know I want you It's not a secret I try to hide I know you want me So don't keep sayin' our hands are tied You claim it's not in the cards And fate is pullin' you miles away And out of reach from me But you're here in my heart So who can stop me if I decide That you're my destiny? What if we rewrite the stars? Say you were made to be mine Nothing could keep us apart You'd be the one I was meant to find It's up to you, and it's up to me No one can say what we get to be So why don't we rewrite the stars? Maybe the world could be ours Tonight You think it's easy You think I don't wanna run to you But there are mountains And there are doors that we can't walk through I know you're wondering why because we're able to be Just you and me within these walls But when we go outside, you're gonna wake up and see That it was hopeless after all No one can rewrite the stars How can you say you'll be mine? Everything keeps us apart And I'm not the one you were meant to find It's not up to you It's not up to me When everyone tells us what we can be How can we rewrite the stars? Say that the world can be ours Tonight All I want is to fly with you All I want is to fall with you So just give me all of you It feels impossible It's not impossible Is it impossible? Say that it's possible How do we rewrite the stars? Say you were made to be mine? Nothing can keep us apart 'Cause you are the one I was meant to find It's up to you And it's up to me No one can say what we get to be And why don't we rewrite the stars? Changing the world to be ours You know I want you It's not a secret I try to hide But I can't have you We're bound to break and my hands are tied
