Great heartfelt video. This hits home for me too. I left my 6 figure job to be a stay st home mom n its turned into homeschooling our kids as the yesrs have gone by. Its so hard yet so rewarding. Like u said, 'its the hardest thing ive ever done' . Going to work was easier. Stsy the course snd keep sharing ur story. We are raising the future adults n we can help them be the best they can be!

Your video made me cry. I've been struggling with being a stay at home mom (it's only been 5 months), and I kept thinking I destined to work again. I even prayed the other day for God to show me His next path for me. And it led me to your video today. So, I think this may be the path. Thank you for the honest video on the transition and your experience with it.

I have felt pulled to work & honestly get some more adult conversations! 😂 I actually went back to work part time for a month because I felt like could do both. But I was wrong & I saw how you get pulled in too many different directions you end up feeling like you are failing at everything. You got this, Momma. Raise your babies, count your pennies, & praise God. If it’s God’s will, it’s God’s bill & he always provides! 🤗

I did the same 5 years ago. I was a NASA engineer and I absolutely loved my job. After weeks of trying, my oldest wouldn’t take a bottle… never did so I stayed with him. He is five but actually DOES still remember every world flag plus many state flags from his flag obsession stage 2 years ago 😆 (he had a talking leapfrog globe that told them to him before he could read that well). Coincidentally (maybe because of where I live), but most of my homeschool mom friends are former engineers or nurses. Welcome to the club! It’s been hard but worth it :)

❤️ your dedication to your son. It’s such a hard thing to walk away from a job you love even when you know it’s what your family needs. I’m gonna have to check out that leapfrog globe! Sounds like my son would love it.

You’re making me tear up! You got this, no matter what. Don’t let doubt & fear steal your joy. It’s not gonna be perfect or easy but hang in there because it will be sooo worth it.

@@ModernHomeschoolingWithAlly it’s definitely a challenging transition mainly because of the long drive 1.5 hours round trip but otherwise it’s not so bad since it’s just part time.

I just watched this video and I love this so much. I have had the exact same realizations as you and left my communications career a year ago to stay home , and I touched on it in my first video about why we chose to homeschool but there’s still so much more to say. I love seeing women doing this transition and staying close to their babies. It is a big identity shift for sure, and it is a sacrifice on a lot of levels (I too am more exhausted and busy than I was working 😅) , but it feels so right in my heart and it is one of those investments that may not be valued societally but that is priceless for ourselves, our children and our family. Best of luck to you, and I’m looking forward to following your KZbin journey ❤

It’s so great to have so many wonderfully supportive people like you to help us on our journey. I can’t imagine doing homeschooling before the internet. I would be so lost! I watched your morning basket video & it is something I want to add to our routine but my kids are sooo wild when they 1st get up! It’s definitely a work in progress. 🤗

I left my 6 figure career as a dentist over 10 years ago but recently went back into practice parttime. There is a season for everything and many days going to work is definitely easier. lol. Love your reasons. Thanks for sharing. Also just subscribed. I have a channel as well and would love to be friends and connect. Looking forward to watching more of your videos!

i have left my 8 y career (wasn't a 6 figure though!) and became a stay at home mom for about the same duration of time. Best decision ever! I watched my kids grow up, went back to work part time for 3 years, came back and homeschooling now 3 boys ages 11, 9 and 6. I command you to choosing the kids over your career! I know it's not easy but it's worth it! I was tearing up watching you...thanks for sharing and blessings to you and your family!

Yes !!!!! These babies are for this season your top priority and they are your most important investment… when you place your children in public or even some private schools you are dropping them off in Egypt and you are amazed when they come home you have heathens in your home w different values mortals standards that are completely different than your beliefs …in this season give up one car and smaller home living on your husbands pay…it will be worth it all…
