I smoked pot for more than 30 years, everyday, I was a total stoner, I'm 67 now and decided this year I wanted to quit, to much coughing and I was worried about my health, anyway I actually prayed for help to quit, I stopped cold turkey back in April, it really wasn't that that tough, I think it was because I truly wanted to quit, I'm already feeling better and not coughing at all, I believe this is the best thing I've ever done for myself, I'm not going back, good luck to all...

33 days in cold turkey after 16 straight years of dry flower consumption; initially started smoking in the mid 1980's. This withdrawal kicked my rear beyond what I ever imagined. Did not sleep the first week, couldn't eat or function at all. Night sweats, anxiety, depression, rage, outbursts, thoughts of violence, etc. How I managed not to relapse was knowing not to quit before the miracle. I've withdrawn of off alcohol and benzodiazepines, as well as nicotine in the past, and THC withdrawal ranks right up there. It was about two weeks before I started to eat and get light sleep cycles and then the vivid, lucid dreams kicked in. I am far from 100% and still hack up an occasional tar ball, but I am starting to come around full circle. I am still suffering from hostility and some intermitting insomnia, but for me I am eons beyond the initial phases of THC withdrawal. The last 2 years of smoking high THC caliber pot I was getting all the warning signs to quit but I didn't heed them. The once miracle drug no longer worked at all for me in the end, but I kept trying various strains and wasted a ton of cash going nowhere. I'm 54 years old this fall so my timeline may be longer as with any recovery. Also, I've smoked pot heavy for many years. My keys getting this far were a "no pain, no gain" mantra with lots of hydration (H20), vitamins, clean nutrition, exercise and prayer. To those who think they cannot do this I say, Yes You Can! It's not easy, but it's so much better than the vicious cycle of addiction. I can't emphasize enough on how much better. I sincerely hope this helps someone. You can do it.

Thanks brother honestly im day 20 and you addressed 2 big issues I was searching for which has given me more hope and motivation. My sleep has gone down the toilet really I just wake up 2am from awful dreams sweating like this happens around 5 times a night n I was just curious when it stops as it's not showing signs of subsiding particularly as it started same as you 2 weeks in literally. Also the tar balls r a bit concerning I thought they would be gone quite soon but seems they still come occasionally. Though I was dying 🤣 Well thanks bro wonder how u are getting on now since u posted?
@slimt2650
@slimt2650 2 жыл бұрын
@@ryanbritain3428 You're right on schedule. Like magic, the creepy dreams and sweats will subside, and your sleep will return if you hang on; everyone's timeline is slightly different. I thought mine would never end but they did, and today, almost 56 days, all symptoms are mostly gone. After one month everything started to come back i.e., quality sleep, good dreams, no sweats, power naps in the day, lots of energy, and the depression and anxiety is lifting. Drink lots of water, take vitamins (B-12 complex) eat healthy foods, walk or workout, and it just keeps getting better. What you're experiencing is your body detoxing and readjusting. Your body's own endocannabinoid system is recalibrating itself and the payoffs will far exceed the days of daily addiction. You'll no longer need THC to feel better. Think "no pain, no gain." And "don't quit before the miracle." 20 days is frickin awesome. You've hurdled the worst and you're almost there. You can do it...trust me. You'll be amazed. It takes time. Work through it. Tell yourself now "I got this." You've beat the hardest parts already. Don't quit. The tar specs still show up today but they're meaningless (your bod kicking out the impurities). Pat yourself on the back.

I have multiple family members who smoke weed on a daily basis (my Dad and my 1st Cousin to name a few) today, I visited my Cousin for the first time since quitting, as I've been keeping my distance from him and everyone who smokes weed, as to not put any added pressure on myself during my early stages of recovery. We had a really good time together and I even offered to roll him a joint (we always mixed tobacco with weed in our joints) this worried him a bit, but I reassured him I was fine and longer needed it. I sat next to him on the same sofa for the most part of the night and although the room was very smokey, it didn't make me want to try any. In fact, I felt relieved to get back outside and breathe in fresh air. I feel very happy in myself! 😎✌ P.S we smoked weed together for the most part of 20 years!

As someone who has CHS. I just want to say how much I appreciate your videos. Especially when I used to go through episodes, just listening to someone who has been through the same thing helped psychologically. I’m fortunate enough to have never have had anxiety or depression problems. But when I had my first CHS encounter I had no idea it even existed and legitimately felt like I was dying after 2 unsuccessful urgent care visits. Destroyed me mentally until I found this channel. Finally stopped smoking 6 days ago and I’ll never smoke again. I’ve been off and on lying to myself saying “oh just smoke once every three days” etc. For anyone struggling with the life destroying CHS… you have to bite the bullet and fully stop. Until you bit this bullet you will most likely relapse every single time you attempt to quit. Weed needs to be respected

Find a healthy coping method. Think positive that you'll get better even if it's 1% better Took me around 6 7 weeks to get way better and even then had to keep positive and catch myself before I thought bad or feel little bit of anxiety and look at it differently and after awhile just went away.

13 years smoking buds. Had a major panic attack mid joint one evening, it's scared the living shit out of me. I was starting to get paranoid over my own inner voice/monologue. I tried to reduce my use from joints to one Skinner's, but didn't matter if I smoked a gram or a 0.3 id still get the same feelings/emotions no matter the size or amount I smoked per joint. Had about 14 grams left in my rolling box so grabbed the bag and just emptied into the toilet bowl and flushed it. I destroyed every bit of paraphernalia I had left. When I flushed that weed I felt like I flushed my problems away with it. I've smoked heavy since 13 years of age and now I'm 25. I really do believe I was one spliffy away from a Cannabis induced phychosis or even paranoid schizophrenia. I'm 14 days sober now a full 366 hours off the green bitch. I feel amazing and really feel like everything is getting better in life. CBD Oils and OMEGA 3 fish oil and jogging has helped so much. My mind is clearer, anxiety is disappearing more and more everyday. I'm eating way more. Sleeping way better. The dreams are amazing, even the scary ones. It's all about reprogramming the mind and body. I wish everyone the best. Don't let anybody tell you weed isn't addictive, if they do they've never truly been a stoner before. P.s get a journal, writing helps a lot too. Best of luck everyone.

I have been smoking weed heavily for the last 10 years, specially now that it has been legalized and the invention of the weed pen. I work remote so that has also made it a lot worse. I would wake up and it would be the first thing i did and the last thing i did before going to bed. I don't remember the last time i slept and had dreams like a normal person. Its been affecting my work habits and i feel paranoid all the time. I have tried to quit many times and failed, the amount of money i spend on it weekly is ridiculous. I'm on day three and working from home and i keep telling myself its ok to smoke and that i should try and quit next week instead. The same rollercoaster I've been on for years, I'm hoping this time i can give it up because i know deep down its affecting my work and many other things. I wish i could be that person who just smokes every once and awhile but i know that its not the case. Good luck to all the people going through the same thing i am, stay strong. I was going for a good job climbing trees about 4 years back and quit smoking after 2-3 years of daily use for it. Once it was out of my system and I was busting my ass at work every day I felt incredible. My mind felt so clear and I made so many positively drastic changes in my life. I was sober for about a year when I started dating this girl. She didn't really smoke either at first then we just kinda started doing it together occasionally until we worked up to doing it from the moment we got home from work until we fell asleep every day for the last 3 years or so. I've been feeling like my life just isn't going anywhere anymore and I'm remembering how I felt when I was sober and I want it more than anything now. It's 7-19-23 as I'm writing this and I'm on day 3 without weed and have 0 cravings for it. This time around feels kinda different, I've always told myself there's gonna be a time to become a real adult and put it behind me and the time is now

Also side tip, download an app that counts time from a certain point. Smoke your last bit of weed and hit start. Whenever you get a craving look at that timer, you'll be shocked at how much time has gone by and it feels like much more of a failure to have to reset the clock. That's what helped me past the first 2 days at least

Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to quit for two years now, and I finally made it today for, I’ve never made it this long before! I feel terrible every day, and I have the flu as well and that exam I have to study for. I’m getting hot and cold sweats, feeling like fainting, constantly dehydrated, but can’t drink and puke like twice or three times a day. I’m still fighting tho!

I stopped thc carts on September 1, 2024 after having a horrible anxiety attack. Its worth noting I would constantly dab… I’m currently on day 8 and it’s been tough after smoking from March-August 2024 and I decided to stop gradually until Sep 1 that I left it cold turkey. So I’m hanging in there I still get the sweats, intrusive thoughts, cravings and anxiety oh and my tounge was really white due to it. So far everything is clearing up God has been a really big key to this and I’ll keep going! 💪

Thanks Dr. Frank, I’m on the 11th day of my quitting journey thanks to you. I have( hopefully had) delusions and other symptoms of psychosis as a result of smoking large quantities of cannabis from a young age. Your videos woke me up to the harm this psychedelic drug was doing to my mind and body. Thanks again, I think I might be over the hump but I’m ready for whatever the Demons throw at me yet, as the prospect of a life consisting of delusional paranoia and depersonalization is much scarier no matter what. Thanks Dr. Frank, you are doing good work and spreading a very important and under reported message.

I started smoking weed when I was 19 going on 20 and am now 21 and am 2 days clean from marijuana. When I first started weed it felt good and seemed like it was my hobby or thing to do when I'm not up to anything else. Overtime I started to use it more frequently like every night and would get to a point where I would come home from work and that would be the first thing I do. It began to feel like I was faking my way everyday only looking forward to smoking up a storm when I got home. That's when I knew I had a problem and needed to stop. I started smoking weed because a friend introduced me to it for helping him move. I wanted money instead but just accepted the gram he gave me because that's all he had. I remember when I was happy and living a sober lifestyle feeling so alive but now I feel dead inside and deal with depression when I'm not high. I think bad about myself and feel like everybody around me hates me. I just wanna feel like me again. I seem to sleep more often than usual and have less energy and feel unmotivated to do anything. I feel lazy as hell and have no social life except work and back home with the weed. Sometimes work can be so stressful that it feels good coming home and forgetting about all your problems with a J.

Dr Frank i am at 11 days today no cannabis cold turkey. Everything you are saying is the 100% truth. Some people say watching these videos will just make you want it more but it just helps me NOT to want to waste me hard earned money on weed. Its pretty crazy thats is legal everywhere and how expensive it can be. Again i just want to thank you for everything and all the time you make for these videos to help people. Ive been smoking for 9 years straight i am 24 years old. And i literally had a crying spell today and almost had a panic attack. I am prescribed Klonopin i take 1mg 3 times a day and i can actually feel my medicine working better. I have all these old memories even coming back to me man. I hope you see this comment i really appreciate you. This cannabis withdrawal is up and down. I used to even smoke high concentrated oils all day too man. Thank you for what you do. God bless you.

Replying to myself 2 months later. I released back on the cannabis big time. The other night I ate 250mg of THC and smoked a blunt of some super good weed called sherbidos and I was literally still high the next day. So high that I could have fell asleep at any moment I wanted to. And you know what it's a completely useless feeling. I feel regret bad and especially since I'm a follower of Jesus Christ I gotta protect my temple. Well tonight's gonna be day 1 again for me. I hope someone can keep on touch with me somehow it helps to have people to talk to. God bleas
