And this, boys and girls, is why intelligence gathering missions are important. Just because the other guy seems to have nothing to fight back with, doesn't mean they don't. Worse yet, in this case, sometimes the little guy you're smashing today, has a big guy who helped set him up, and they're going to be quite peeved if you mess with their friend.

Now this was a genuinely brilliant story. No repetitive drivel, no continuous use of the word indomitable, or spirit. Just a really good entertaining Sci fi tale that wasn't like anything else I've seen before. Well done and thanks 😊. More please 🙏 😂

it is still a HFY. Humans beat/ take revenge against aliens on a loop. sadly I've listened to all the other sci-fi , stories on you tube. one author i really like. is PE ROWE rarely are there even aliens so its quite different. he has 2 main story lines one near future "Julian" stories. one far future "Misfit" stories. and many random stories. he makes one a week and they are almost always amazing. Sadly I've finished all his stories twice - but if you want great writing and narrating he does both. and he just launched a 24/7 channel. Sci-Fi Audiobook Radio

Not bad. I started reading Fantasy and ScFi when I was around twelve years old. It got to the point in My late teens I would often read two to three books a week. Books , not short stories. As time moved on and the call of adulthood , along with the responsibilities of life fell upon Me , I had forgotten how much I enjoyed reading these stories. I am now retired. L live a quiet life. I happened to discover these stories recently. Thankfully in audible form. You see, growing old one sometimes begins to lose eyesight. Anyway , Thanks to all of You who contribute to My new found pleasure. Sincerely ,

Good story. KZbin is full of mass produced generic AI stories. It's a real treat to run across an inventive well conceived story. It being well produced is a bonus.
@scifistories19777 ай бұрын
Thanks very much. This author has a real knack for telling a story. And I'm pleased you like the production. It took a while to put it together, considering it started as text on a screen. The author himself told me that the scene art was very similar to what he envisioned for the story, which I'll take!

That transmission at the beginning was great. Dark and dramatic, somehow without being trite, and incredible foreshadowing, all rolled into one excellently narrated package. The whole story is 10/10. Will listen again

That's an epic revenge story. I think the part which I liked the most was how all the "humans" and Beacon knew that what they did was evil, but they didn't stop. Sometimes you just have to do some evil acts, but always keep in mind that excuses and reasons do not make a wrong right, they just enable it. Doing justice often means doing a required evil/wrong.

👍🏽 Now this is what your subscribers are looking for, quality story telling. This yarn was simply brilliant. No annoying AI with the whole “cut and paste” portions of repeating dialogue. No insufferable drivel about the “destiny of this or that,””hopes and dreams,” blah, blah, blah, etc.; all examples of lazy AI word-count filler with whole sections repeating themselves. Oh and let’s not forget the terrible mispronunciations. This story had none of that and was so very refreshing. So…, once again, this story and its narration were outstanding. Thank you.

Nice to see a SciFi where the humans get to space after going through a cyberpunk like body morphing technology phase. It's always odd to hear a story set 1000 years in the future but all the humans are just modern day humans, often with typical modern day accents and countries too (for some reason many writers think the US will still be around hundreds of years from now)

38:10 that's just a centrifuge. If you want a blender, you need an agitator to stir the contents independently of the walls of the ship, e.g. tossing the contents into the air like a salad, repeatedly vacuuming them off the floor with cleaning robots or snow blowers, or distributing them via the ventilation system... Bon appetit.

A fun thing about explosive depressurization. You only move by as much air is behind you and the aperture. Otherwise, there's nothing to push you towards it. You don't go from against the opposite wall to out the aperture. You just boil. You don't boil from heat, either. The phase from liquid to vapor carries heat away, just like sweating. So, you boil cold. Also, with no air to take the heat away, the heat depends on radiation to spend it, not conduction. So it's slow. I imagine quite painful for the first few seconds. There's a reason freeze dried candy looks exploded.

It is explained. They were humans who wanted to go back to an agrarian lifestyle. Minimal technology in an every day existence. They only had the tech that was left to them by those who brought them there and a sentient AI watcher installed on the planets moon to report if anything happened to them. They had moved somewhat past that basic agrarian lifestyle to advance almost to being space faring again in the thousands of years since they first arrived. It was why the aliens destroyed them as flimsy as an excuse as it was.
