Raised on the bible yet it speaks of a little book, I believe the Quran is the key. Not going to be accepted by all but man makes it harder due to doubt and being sperated in the form of understanding.

What passage does it speak of a "little book"? Remember the Quran didn't exist until much later so how could it be referring to a book that doesn't exist?

@@charlesmuhmanson3928 Since Adam, God sent many prophets including Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Mohamed with same message. religion, but different versions. To be grateful to God and to compete doing good deeds. When Torah was corrupted, God sent Jesus with Gospel. When original Gospel in Aramaic was lost, God sent Mohamed with Quran. Quran = updated lost original Gospel + Torah + New Divine Information.

@@Subxanallah1110 I tested it and found it faulty. Where is the wall of Dhul Qarnayan? Where are the hardened clay stones that pelted the people of the elephant? Where is the archaeology that assures us that Mecca existed back to Abraham's day? None of it can be found. The Quran is a book of myths. It falsifies itself.

Very helpful. Thanks. The study of the connection between the Holy Quran and Holy Bible is truly worthwhile. The more we learn is the better for inter religious relationships. Sidney H Griffith's The Bible in Arabic is a good book (2013) to read as it traces what was happening in Arabia during the time of the Prophet Mohammad and Jewish and Christian communities around him. A young scholar from University of London in translation to University Oxford is also about release his Master's level research work about Quran/Bible in a book form for the general audience. He plans to carry out further research work on the subject in Oxford to PhD level. He was interviewed by Paul Williams in Blogging Theology.

Quran doesn't mention the Adam and Eve did infact eat the fruit from that particular forbidden Tree. It rather says do not come near to that Tree.Was there only one Tree of it's kind in the Garden? Please kindly explain it.

a main difference in the Adam/Eve story is that the Quran does not blame Eve for Adam's "fall" from heaven.. indeed the only time God directed a blame to one person, it was directed to Adam. Also, the Quran story says God forgave Adam and did not send him to earth as a punishment but rather to be his vicegerent on earth... some believe the whole exercise of eating from the tree was to teach adam and eve that they have the free will to make decisions and that decisions have consequences they they have to live with.

The Qur'an is a Divine speech, whereas the Bible is a religious and historical narrative of Jewish people, both the Hebrew Bible and New Testament.

UnHoly Bible as we speak was written and compiled by jews and even it says Jesus was a Jew. Yes there are stories which run from timed unknown in Holy Books. Being monotheistic religion these are similar not exactly.

Well, is not in Aramaic because the Koiné was the language that most people spoke at the time. Even so, you can see the influence of the Aramaic language in the books, because the writers of the Gospels (Mathew, Mark and John) where Jews. Now, about the original copy of the books of the bible, specially the New Testament, are either lost or confuse among the 4500 copies that are now in existence. But, with this amount of copies, we can know with a great grade of precision, the original content. The Quran is in the same situation according to Dr Shabir Ally, this is, no originals, many copies, but not as much as the New Testament. @@eigochat

How can you compare the Holy Bible with a book compiled by a pagan Arab tribal of 6th century borrowing stories from the local fairy tales and stories from the Holy Bible and Zoroastrian faith ?. Its moral teachings are totally different from those of the Holy Bible. Hence quran is totally a man made book suitable for the 6th century pagan tribals way of living only. It is not at all suitable for any other generations . Where as Bible is the true Word of God and is suitable for all generations for all centuries and all people of the world . Judaism is the first religion in the world which taught about the concept of worshipping of only one God. Allah has nothing to do with that God. Allah is the pagan god worshipped by the Arab tribals. He was one among the 360 gods worshipped by the Arab pagans at Kabah in Mecca. This Allah had 3 daughters and it was mohamed who converted this polytheistic god, Allah into a monotheistic god ! He destroyed the idols of all the other 359 gods kept in Kabah and retained only the idol of Allah. Muslims, run away from this satanic religion and come to the worship of the true God Yahveh of the bible, the true monotheistic God.
