Fun story: my pet fish was clearly dying. While I was at school my mom grabbed it out of the tank and left it on a tissue so it could die and wouldnt be in any pain anymore. She came back 30 minutes later to find that it was still alive. Mortified, she promptly returned the fish to the tank. I came home and she acted like nothing happened.
