That's when you get the Lawyers involved to Sue for Access to fix the plumbing leaks and for Monetary Damages as Compensation for the additional damage caused to your home and Health that is a result of her refusing access to the Landlord's Repair person...When the Judge hears that you have Raw Sewage flowing out of your wall and she is refusing to allow access to the Repair Person, they should Rule in your Favour and issue a Court Order for her to pay Damages and allow IMMEDIATE access for Repairs... A Friend of mine had almost this same problem though in his case it wasn't sewage it was mold in his walls caused by a leak in the water supply lines leading to the kitchen and bathroom (multiple leaks). Upper Neighbour denied Access and both Landlord and Neighbour Sued for cost of Mold Remediation (it had gotten to Level 3 by the time the Case was heard, that's the worst and most expensive to fix), my Friend's housing cost since he couldn't live in the mold infested house for almost a month (Hotels are EXPENSIVE), the cost to clean (or replace what can't be cleaned of mold) the contents of his home (furniture, carpets, books, clothes etc.), the Mental and Emotional Stress cause by all the problems and my Friend's Health Expenses when the Mold gave him Bronchitis... They won and Upper Neighbour not only had to pay almost $75,000 CAD for it all, but Landlord filed for IMMEDIATE Eviction when the Repair Person found ALL of the leaks were cause by Upper Neighbour installing shelves on the wall and driving screws into the water pipes...

There is an alternative theory. The students know ChatGPT exists. The Professor knows ChatGPT exists, but doesn't really know what it can do. The students write essays that (admittedly unknown to them) are far too close to a generic template. Professor (rightly) freaks and flunks them all. In other words - make sure your submissions are quirky enough to stand out, or you will be flunked (and you are all boring and deserve to be flunked, no matter how right you might be). Don't blame the Professor's ignorance for your genericness.

Instead of blaming the students doing things how they were told to do it. My family had actually booked with Vacasa for our vacation this year. Before we got there we were informed that the washing machine didn’t work and that it was going to get fixed sometime during the week. Keep in mind the we’re on the beach side, so we went into the ocean and on we’re on the beach frequently. The days kept going past without it being fixed, we had sent in a bunch of complaints. Thy had even told us that the repair people were coming when they in fact lied and they never came. It was still unfixed when we left, we also have a theory that they take in customers and tells them the same story. Never booking with them ever again.

I went to a community college for one semester. None of my grades were ever posted and Sallie Mae decided I'd defaulted on the loans. Went to sign up for my next semester classes and found out they wouldn't loan me any more money. My student advisor said there was nothing I could do about it and I'd need to pay back the loan and pay for my future classes in cash. I cancelled the next semester classes because I couldn't afford them and wanted to get shit sorted. Never did, never went back to that school. A year or two later they kept my state tax refund to pay for the classes I didn't take. They said I had failing grades for the classes so I must have attended them. I had to just bite the bullet and take it. Six years later they did the exact same thing. Couldn't prove that I took any of the classes, couldn't figure out why it took them this long to offset my refund, but said that all I could do about it is let them keep the money so it wouldn't happen again. The sad part is the only thing I could do is take them to civil court but it's not even enough to make it worth any attorney's time.

This past weekend, I was working the closing shift at the restaurant i work at and we had a big group of people come in, 4 minutes before we closed. We also had someone at the same time in the drive thru needing "time to decide" and another car pulled in behind so we had to take the extra orders. It was awful. They all wanted the one item we STOP MAKING THREE HOURS BEFORE CLOSE, we make what we have then break down the machines, so that we have less waste by the time we close but it also means we have a limited amount for the rest of the night.

I have to admit - if the door is unlocked and it's when businesses are normally open (like after 8 am or 9 am) I wouldn't even know you were closed if the door was unlocked. I've worked in that situation too- and you had to knock and wait for a co-worker to let you in if you didn't have a key. If you have a physical sign blocking the door that says closed of course I'd see it, but if your normal open sign says closed in the window I probably wouldn't notice. People forget that I don't know as much about your place of business as you. If it's a store and it's during most "normal" store hours I wouldn't even notice the sign to be honest, and I've worked in restaurant and retail. The only time I would get upset is if the person was told "we are closed until X time" and still demanded to be served, otherwise I would be like, huh, they didn't realize"

The car lot gets a kickback on loans. They hate when you have your own financing. That person needs to go to their bank with the sales order for the car and have their bank give them a check for the full amount (made out to the dealer). Take the check to the dealer as payment in full for the car. They have a signed contract stating they have agreed to sell the car for that amount. Never trust the car lot to go through your bank.

If she had approval through her bank, then they should've went through that bank. They pulled a switcheroo (probably because of banking incentives (i.e. these dealerships get kickbacks for if people use their bank for loans, and they get a percentage even if they get denied)), which depending on jurisdiction could be illegal, or it could be a civil matter (and in some places like Boulder County, Colorado (which I was incredibly impressed by) you can sue them for the value of the car loan. Meaning you get the car for free and they pay you the amount that the interest rate applied for would add up to, as a penalty to discourage this. And not only do they make it hard for people to be knowledgeable about this, if you are approved many people don't even pick up on it. Anyways, off topic). But by them denying her loan it opens her up to higher interest rates as well as higher fees from the dealership itself for her to try and refinance the same car through the loan company she should have had in the first place. Sorry if that's long winded but I tried to be thorough. TL;DR, they switched her loan app (potentially illegally) so the loan denial hurts her credit and potentially opens her up to higher costs to finance correctly.

If you're not ready to take customers for the day you should keep the doors locked until you *are* ready. I'm going to be the one person (so far) with a good PayPal story. Some years back I noticed $1,200 missing from my bank which was deducted through PayPal. I called them to report fraud because I didn't make that transaction. To my surprise, they had already opened a fraud case and the rep informed me that I would see the money back in my PayPal account within a day. True to their word, it showed up and promptly went back into my bank account. I was basically inconvenienced for a few days, but I lost no money. Funny side note: The thieves who stole my PayPal info from somewhere were bad at stealing. They'd ordered some random items from China which showed up at my house. I was very confused at the packages arriving with my name on them but covered in inscrutable (at least to me) Chinese writing. They ordered weird stuff like a wooden bead necklace. If you're going to steal, at least steal something interesting!

It is straight up illegal where I live to have a dog loose in the back of a truck. It must either be in a kennel or be secured by crossties ( Which is stupid and outdated, nobody does that.) I have seen dogs jump out of the truck, I've seen others thrown from the truck when making too sharp of a turn. I have seen what is left of the poor dogs when this happens. I fucking hate seeing loose dogs in trucks.

This reminds me of the time I accidentally touched an ad on my phone (tiny x in the corner shit), and it forced a download. I pressed the cancel download option, only for it to immediately try downloading again. Each time added on to the previous time, slowly filling the bar over the course of dozens of canceled downloading. I don't know if that's even legal. It's obviously a security vulnerability, as it's impossible to avoid downloading it. I felt violated, like my entire everything had been compromised. I deleted the app immediately but I still feel like I probably have at least one computer virus, gathering all my info, and sending it to the most sketchy people imaginable. If you manually cancel an action, it should stop, ESSPECIALLY A DOWNLOAD! Oh, I can't log into my accounts without without a verification code that stays valid for such a short amount of time that it's useless by the time the email has arrived, but a random shitty ad for a random shitty app nobody's heard of, created by a company nobody's heard of, gets to forcibly download anything onto my device without my permission, ignoring my manual canceling of the action. makes perfect sense. I guess I'll just go fuck myself then, as the NSA learns things about me that no god could ever know.

To answer the loan question, almost no one buys a brand new car, you have to get a loan. That loan may or may not be approved, but depending on the paperwork you sign you could be on the hook for the total amount of the car if the loan gets rejected. Now what she should do is go back to the dealership, raise a giant stink and demand they a) admit what they did in writing and. B) send the loan request to the proper bank, free of charge. You want the dealership to do this because they pay certain administration fees and banks do not give automotive loans out without a dealership being involved. They likely did it through Chase because either they get a kick back or they pay fewer fees with that bank. It's unscrupulous because the terms of the loan could have been altered in several ways, and considering she read nothing she signed, she may have been on the hook for way way more. She did dodge a bullet that they rejected her loan, though.
