Fun legal fact! The woman in the "kidnapping proposal" can take him to court for the incident and sue he and his buddies for emotional distress, may potentially be able to keep the ring, and depending if the vehicle is in her name can sue for property damage as well! The whole "smashing the car and making someone think they were gonna die" proposal thing reminds me of an AITA thing I heard some months ago, where the geniuses who were tasked with bringing the woman about to get proposed to chose to play it out as a kidnapping sceme where they grabbed the poor woman, threw her blindfolded into a van while one of them kept telling her about all the awful ways she was gonna get killed (and possibly raped?) And in this case, the poor groom wasn't even in on it. (And was absolutely furious when he found out.)

13:40 Funny thing about this millionaire is that he still quit because he couldn't handle poverty. Despite never sleeping on the streets (he slept on people's couches and such until he got an apartment), he said his mental health was suffering and his body didn't feel right. He ended up making less than 100K before tapping out of a very confortable experiment because he was in good health before, never slept on the streets, never went hungry, didn't have any mental ilness, wasn't experiencing abuse or any drug addiction. And he knew that was 'fake', he had the security that whatever that play time had for him, he could come back to his good life at any second. And he still tapped out.

@@bluchismoon hi! No, here in the states, especially conservative ones, women who struggle with infertility have very biased opinions/views on situations like this because they cannot have a child. To some, as long as you can get a child that is part of you and your husband, a lot of them do not care. However, if the husband cheated with someone else or a person of color, they would deem her right to leave and that she shouldn’t have to deal with his mess. A lot of people take up the ideas of being ‘grateful’ and ‘what God wanted/planned for’ in these type of situations as long as it meets certain criteria.

But if thats what happens and it isnt reciprocated, you can either suck it up bc your kids are happy playing together, or tell the other parent you would appreciate it if they could play at their house too sometimes. thats sad that people bought this and just start throwing money. venmo man. taking advantage of peoples compassion and wanting to help.

It's called "misattribution of arousal", and one episode in Fresh Pretty Cure actually tackled it. Which is honestly wild, conceptually, because Pretty Cure is a magical girl franchise, so them coming out with one character realizing she doesn't actually love someone, and what she felt that one time was just the excitement of the moment, is pretty nice. Then there is the episode with the controlling boyfriend in Go! Princess Precure, and of course the main character's entire arc in Healin' Good Precure, which is written as her getting away from her abusive ex.

To be fair, there are men who subscribe to the mentality of "a woman always has to be right so the best thing you can do to get her off your back is apologize immediately" where you end up with situations where they don't actually change anything and they refuse to actually talk about problems to try and solve them. A person who doesn't want to solve the problem but figures they can avoid the consequences by just always apologizing is infuriating as all get out. If your friend is really annoyed because she wants to have an actual fight, they may just... both be toxic.

I need the context. Ive been in a similar situation, but the apologies were just to shut me up so i couldnt actually talk about how i was feeling and so he didnt have to cope with conflict and take real responsibility for his actions. Then, he would just keep doing the same things over and over again. The final straw was when he apologized for abandoning me and our two young children for another woman who was married. He was sorry because her husband came home from deployment, so she couldnt keep having a relationshipwith him and he wanted his family back. Again, i wasn't even allowed to discuss how my husband having an affair behind my back made me feel because he didn't want to cope with the conflict. He wanted me to forgive and forget. The best part was him spreading rumors about me cheating on him with my current husband because he still refused to take responsibility. I met my current husbamd a year after i divorced my ex, but sure, it was because i was having an affair with a man i didnt even know.

28:52 I would actually do something even creepier as a kid. When I was a little child, I would put my dolls face down in the tub and go “night night” very creepily. That’s like… the least disturbing thing I did as a child. When I was 4 or 5, I was obsessed with stuffed animals. We went to a garage sale, and there was a bin of free stuffed animals for little kids. There was dogs, cats, etc- and a cthulhu plushie. I chose that one. On the car ride home, my mother asked if I was going to put it with my other toys. I apparently said, in a very serious and creepy voice, “No. Cthulhu likes to be alone.” Yeah my mom got rid of that as soon as she got the chance. I put him on a separate shelf and never played with him.

She wore glasses herself and said she was glad to work around them. The way my hair falls around my face is affected by my glasses, so I thought that made sense. But my hair is long, so if yours is short YMMV. Your barber or hairdresser may let you put your glasses back on after they're done with the area around the ears? But you might have to ask. They seem to forget you can't see if they don't wear glasses regularly themselves, or they just don't know how bad your sight is.

the cheating story at 34:00 doesn't add up. Together for 8 years, husband was overseas for 2 years. She got lonely and cheated, which has been going on for about 2 years. (So I thought the hold up was, 2 years overseas, 2 years of cheating, how quickly did you decide you were lonely?) But it gets worse, how were they together for 8y, brother lives nearby and didn't know. And within 2 years he managed to build a second family with 2 kids. How? How to all of that.

it's actually against policy/rules to spread cremains/remains at the Disney parks. but people still try to do it anyways. it's such a problem that they literally have a specially trained team for removal of ashes whenever someone or a family tries to dump/spread their loved one's ashes at the parks, especially at the Haunted Mansion ride (which, for some reason, is a really popular site). however, on the other hand, the Haunted Mansion is also the site of a real pet cemetery for the beloved pets of Disney park employees! the more you learn and stuff! 😜

what's particularity upsetting about the mom who charged the other parent for their child's expenses is that it shows not only how little the mother cares about her child's social life, but how little she cares about the well being of other children. when a child is under your care you should expect no less than to be providing for them, be it giving them food or simply letting them USE your house. it's basic human decency and that mother's behavior is a huge red flag in terms of how she sees children as nothing but monetary burdens.

39:50 - Old couple "stealing" a car : it might actually be on point. I remember (and will always) a night. Me and a couple of friends were waiting in the car finishing eating in the movie theater parking (guess where we were going after...). A man pass in front of our car and go two car away. He put the key in the door, unlock and open the door. The alarm system start ringing like crazy. It took like 5 minutes before the alarm stop (cause as far as I know, these stuff won't go for hour cause it would drain your battery). He finally calm down and realize it wasn't his car. He close the door, lock it and go on car further, unlock the door, get in and start the vihicule and drive it to the exit passing behind us : it was the exact same model as the one he previously open. This to say that you car key probably open more than on car and in case of this couple, they might actually got somebody else car now. Btw, in case you didn't know, even your house key are not unique. When locks arrive at the store, they come in pack of 6. They are identify with number. 2 numbers by box -> 3 of each. They do this this way so you can buy multiple lock for your house with one key. The randomness of buying lock make it statiscally safe that it's not an issue. I guess samething is done with car keys (for old car that have 0 kind of technologie in it) and I assisted to very unfortunate low probability.
