To be fair, there are men who subscribe to the mentality of "a woman always has to be right so the best thing you can do to get her off your back is apologize immediately" where you end up with situations where they don't actually change anything and they refuse to actually talk about problems to try and solve them. A person who doesn't want to solve the problem but figures they can avoid the consequences by just always apologizing is infuriating as all get out. If your friend is really annoyed because she wants to have an actual fight, they may just... both be toxic.

Had something similar with an ex. Whenever I could feel myself starting to lose my temper over an argument I would go for a 5 min walk to calm myself down a bit, so it wouldn't become a yelling match. She then started complaining about that
@carolallison96853 ай бұрын
I need the context. Ive been in a similar situation, but the apologies were just to shut me up so i couldnt actually talk about how i was feeling and so he didnt have to cope with conflict and take real responsibility for his actions. Then, he would just keep doing the same things over and over again. The final straw was when he apologized for abandoning me and our two young children for another woman who was married. He was sorry because her husband came home from deployment, so she couldnt keep having a relationshipwith him and he wanted his family back. Again, i wasn't even allowed to discuss how my husband having an affair behind my back made me feel because he didn't want to cope with the conflict. He wanted me to forgive and forget. The best part was him spreading rumors about me cheating on him with my current husband because he still refused to take responsibility. I met my current husbamd a year after i divorced my ex, but sure, it was because i was having an affair with a man i didnt even know.

My mum legit thinks my partner makes a terrible husband because 'we never fight'. If you scream at him, he pulls back, if you treat him poorly he'll remove himself from the situation. She uses my dad as example, it was 'impossible to fight with him as well, so everything bottled up until it exploded'. My dad passed when I was young but if I take after him, she should have tried talking to him. It works wonders for my partner and I. :'')

28:52 I would actually do something even creepier as a kid. When I was a little child, I would put my dolls face down in the tub and go “night night” very creepily. That’s like… the least disturbing thing I did as a child. When I was 4 or 5, I was obsessed with stuffed animals. We went to a garage sale, and there was a bin of free stuffed animals for little kids. There was dogs, cats, etc- and a cthulhu plushie. I chose that one. On the car ride home, my mother asked if I was going to put it with my other toys. I apparently said, in a very serious and creepy voice, “No. Cthulhu likes to be alone.” Yeah my mom got rid of that as soon as she got the chance. I put him on a separate shelf and never played with him.

But my hair is long, so if yours is short YMMV. Your barber or hairdresser may let you put your glasses back on after they're done with the area around the ears? But you might have to ask. They seem to forget you can't see if they don't wear glasses regularly themselves, or they just don't know how bad your sight is.

what's particularity upsetting about the mom who charged the other parent for their child's expenses is that it shows not only how little the mother cares about her child's social life, but how little she cares about the well being of other children. when a child is under your care you should expect no less than to be providing for them, be it giving them food or simply letting them USE your house. it's basic human decency and that mother's behavior is a huge red flag in terms of how she sees children as nothing but monetary burdens.

31:15 I’m pretty sure that priest was hallucinating or in a fugue state. I was horribly sick with fever in bed once, and was unaware of my surroundings except for the feeling of the wrinkles in my blankets. The entire time I tried in vain to “unravel the puzzle,” the Cats 2019 version of “Skimbleshanks the Railway Cat” was on a loop in my head. It feels real, honey. But waking up in somewhere that’s NOT Hell is a good indicator that you weren’t actually there.

39:50 - Old couple "stealing" a car : it might actually be on point. I remember (and will always) a night. Me and a couple of friends were waiting in the car finishing eating in the movie theater parking (guess where we were going after...). A man pass in front of our car and go two car away. He put the key in the door, unlock and open the door. The alarm system start ringing like crazy. It took like 5 minutes before the alarm stop (cause as far as I know, these stuff won't go for hour cause it would drain your battery). He finally calm down and realize it wasn't his car. He close the door, lock it and go on car further, unlock the door, get in and start the vihicule and drive it to the exit passing behind us : it was the exact same model as the one he previously open. This to say that you car key probably open more than on car and in case of this couple, they might actually got somebody else car now. Btw, in case you didn't know, even your house key are not unique. When locks arrive at the store, they come in pack of 6. They are identify with number. 2 numbers by box -> 3 of each. They do this this way so you can buy multiple lock for your house with one key. The randomness of buying lock make it statiscally safe that it's not an issue. I guess samething is done with car keys (for old car that have 0 kind of technologie in it) and I assisted to very unfortunate low probability.

I unlocked a car once that was not my own. They had different seat covers, and I locked it right back up and got the hell out of there quickly. I also accidentally unlocked my apartment once with a key to my office. 🤷♀️
