This thread is really hard to deal with, even with Jack's awesome voice... I once met a neckbeard (long before I even knew what one was,) while getting new dice for a D&D game. He proceeded to slide up to me, tip his hat and go "Do you need help finding something?" I just looked at him, looked at his shirt, and said "Why? Do you work here? Shouldn't you be in uniform?" And he proceeded to tell me how I wasn't buying those 'dice' for a board game, and I said "You're right, D&D isn't a board game and it never should be!" before picking up the dice and walking to the counter. His buddy was telling him he was a dumbass and I just sat there shaking my head through the entire purchase.
