Random fees are already illegal in many countries. I know in Canada if you just make up fees you can be sued for it. You have to either have a flat rate or have fee charges that actually serve a purpose. Making up fees like "Administrative fees" and "holding fees" and "management fees" and things like that are completely illegal here.

That last one, while it is disgusting, a lot of Asian countries don't have pipes that take toilet paper (because they usually use a bidet) so they have a bin next to the oilet for toilet paper. This is either in one of those countries or someone from those countries who don't understand that you can flush toilet paper
@ivoryowl2 жыл бұрын
Or people are just pigs. I live in a country with ordinary toilets and pipes that can handle toilet paper. When I worked at a clinic near me, some people would go to the public restroom and instead of flushing the toilet paper they would just put it in the bin next to the toilet. Or pee all over the floor. Or put bloody pads on the floor. The women's restroom was almost always dirtier than the men's. Oh and they would also steal the toilet paper, toilet brushes and sanitizers. There was a time we had TP shortage in the entire clinic because people would keep stealing the toilet paper and we hadn't enough for everyone.
@brothersandsistersofvalhalla2 жыл бұрын
What said asian countries can't handle flushing toilet paper? Cause I'm pretty sure you just made this up. I know Asia and don't know a single country that doesn't have the same toliet piping as everywhere else. Toliets and copper piping are some of the oldest inventions in human history.

The teacher could be sweet early in the day, was a bitch by the end because she taught middle schoolers. EVERYTHING in that class was book work. And I do mean everything. It was fuckin' GRUELING. I was hoping it'd get better over the course of 3 years but NOPE. What stung more is that OTHER classes got to cook, but mine never did. We even got to taste test their food! Curriculum always lied about classes, istg. Our ONE project per year was always an incredibly uncomfy and tiny pillow that had no real use. The last year in her class was spent on the computers all year, which was only supposed to take a month. But at least that had its benefits, since I sat in the back and she always forgot I was there.

3:56-- I've got a better one. When I was being born, the doctor asked my father if he wanted him to put his finger on my head and hold me there for a couple of seconds so I'd be born after midnight. My father, having no idea why he would do such a thing, said no, and I was officially born at 11:59 PM. Then my dad got the bill from the hospital. When he called, he was helpfully told the hospital charges only by the day and doesn't have an hourly charge, so unfortunately there was nothing they could do about the fact they charged him for me being in the hospital two days rather than just one, since I was officially born there a few seconds before midnight, and as such was technically a patient in the hospital on that day. It's kind of a shame when you can look at a place which is in the business of aiding people and saving their lives and say "man, hospitals are just the worst."

Hello! Former grocery store worker here. Feel free to take what I say with a grain of salt. I just wanted to make a couple notes on the expiration date thing, since I think it's fair to warn customers about it. First of all: We do check dates. It was called code checking in the store I worked in, and it was a long, awful, tedious process. We did it often-in fact there was a strict schedule for each week-but the store I worked in was fairly large, and we couldn't check every section every week mostly because we didn't have the manpower. It took me several hours just to complete one section, since you have to pull each item off the shelf and check it individually, and I'm sure I was the slowest person when doing code checks due to my inexperience. And if someone got something wrong, another person had to go through and check everything all over again. Second: For every single code check I did, I pulled at least half a cart's worth of things of the self that were out of date. There were some things that expired in December 2020 that I pulled off the shelves. TL;DR: Check expiration dates is not only a long process, but hard to do efficiently, and some times things get missed. Warning people up front is avoiding a health complaint-in fact, the sign was probably put up because someone got sick due to out of date items. We're not putting "all the blame" on the customers. We're trying to keep everyone happy and safe. If you think it's annoying to do it for a couple items, think about how workers feel having to check hundreds of items and keep them organized in the proper place by the correct price for 4 hours (at minimum in the store I worked) straight. (I apologize if this sounds defensive, I don't mean to be. But I think it's unfair to include that warning and get upset about 'workers not doing their job', as the narrator did. It doesn't seem like people think about how difficult keeping up to date with this stuff in a large store would be. If you have suggestions as to how to make this process better, please do tell.)

7:43 I worked as a Package Handler for FedEx for 2 years. Sadly, this is common. The drivers and trucks belong to third party contractors and therefore are not bound to FedEx's policies regarding proper Package handling. The amount of time FedEx gets all the flack for something their contracted drivers did is far too common. Since FedEx cannot fire/discipline the drivers, they tend to get away with this shit.

If I remember correctly the hospital surcharge is because when you have a c-section you must have a doctor stand by you to hold the baby because of anesthesia and all. And that's what you pay for. I think as an Italian it's stupid and outrageous that you have to pay to hold your child. And for the sewing machine one. I feel you. I had the exact same problem once and had to pay €75 for repairs on my second hand sewing machine. I think it's called out of timing when this happens. The needle and the bottom thread machinery didn't meet at the exact time/point so it comes out as a straight stitch. Luckily when it happened to me I wasn't sewing anything special, but rather using some overleft fabric I had.

@6:13 (TLDR: if I’m paying an arm and a leg for rent, then I should be able to tell people to get the hell away from my parking space.) where I live, each townhouse/ duplex has its own assigned parking space for it. If it has one bedroom, then you get one parking spot. Two bedrooms equals two parking spaces. Ect. Most, if not all of the buildings are for lease/ rental homes. And a majority of them cost from 1,100 per month or more. Not only that but this is a neighborhood that mainly caters to college kids. So on Friday nights if your car(s) isn’t (/ aren’t) parked in your home’s assigned parking space(s). Then someone could steal your spot(s) to go party at their friends place. And decide not to move. Not even if you ask nicely. On top of that the driveway is narrow. So if they still want to go to someone’s home to party and there isn’t a spot to park in, they’ll parallel park. Which blocks a lot of the road. And if you have to go somewhere the next day and they still haven’t moved, then your ass is gonna be stuck there until either: they wake up and leave, or you tow their car. With that being said. People in a situation like mine, with assigned places to park, have every right to put a cone in the space. The person living in that house is paying all of the bills (and rent). So unless you actually live in the same home as them. You can get the hell away from the parking space that’s part of their $1,100 rent.

As somebody who walks 4+ miles every day in my town, sprinklers are more than mildly infuriating. Several businesses have them timed to go off in the middle of the day. Why not 3am? Is it really too much to ask? At 10am, anybody walking past a store gets soaked... lovely. I'm also pretty sure this is on purpose, as in "cruelty is the point", to harass what these business owners think are homeless people (I have never seen one in our town, but a friend, who is NOT homeless, has had a run in with a supermarket manager who believed she was, and treated her terribly), apparently. In short, business owners, just set the things to go off at 3am.

4:50 If i, for some reason, dont plan to eat the whole pizza in one go (or any food that i made in the oven in general), i always put that back inside. It stays warm for longer - and i have cats. So leaving that out in the open means i dont have anything later 😂

Earlier I was looking for a jack splitter for my headphones cuz the charging port is half broken (steelseries arctis 1 for those that want to know what to avoid) steelseries sells them for 10$, same price as I could find on newegg, so nothing bad, right? 50$ shipping.

As someone who has cats, the pizza in the oven is good to make sure nothing gets to it on the counter. Also when bugs get into a house during seasons when they try to come inside more, helps avoid that.

9:05 I find it weird when people complain about mediocre school lunches like that. In the majority of the world, school lunches simply aren't a thing. People that get just "ok" lunches from their schools should either bring their own or be thankful. School lunches are a privilege not a right lol, stop being lazy and bring your own. It's like when people get mad at school dress codes without a uniform, just be glad you don't have to wear a uniform like the rest of the world. A lot of Americans forget that they have a lot of privileges that the rest of the world doesn't have, and proceed to complain when their privileges are slightly restrained.

The bathroom with no door completly really brings back some very.... "fun" (not really) memories because i went to a christian pre school and those wew the bathrooms we had to use, but the worst prt is that both boys and girls has to use that bathroom. Luckily it was only when we were outside and not the entire place but it really distrubes me. But on a side note, I really love your guy's videos! Keep it up! (sorry for my grammar)

Going for the jar thing, my mom got Walmart delivery (or like doordash or something) and she dropped the bag with the salsa in it, was at least nice enough to tell us so we wouldn’t stab ourselves with glass, and then left us to clean the mess on our front door and rest of our groceries. I don’t remember if we got a refund or not just that it went everywhere and I think got on some other stuff we have to through out cause of it
