Scary to think these people are treating real people like a dating simulator - where you just throw consumables and compliments and for some reason she loves you above anyone else in the world. (even when you just met)
@WolfyFancyLads3 жыл бұрын
WHOA WHOA WHOA!!! HOLD UP!!! Don't you go insulting dating simulators! I've played plenty! Even they encourage not being a dick and properly caring for someone. You ever play Crush Crush? Loooooootta work. And that's just to get the easiest girl! (easy as in difficulty, not "she's easy to bed")
@X33Ultras0und3 жыл бұрын
@@WolfyFancyLads Dating simulators still exclude a whole plethora of factors that are actually in the real world. And unless there is a dating Sim where you can create a character, (give them traits, appearance, age, status, measurements, all that) and then have 100 different people to choose from where you have to suit them in at least 11/20 areas for them to even consider dating you. (all while you have no idea what their traits are) If there is a dating simulator like this, then it will be one of a kind, and probably the most accurate to real life you can get in a game, as otherwise, we are just always assuming that you are attractive in thier eyes, and for some reason the moment you speak to them they are always willing to reply or speak to you again, and never just brush you off due to their own personal reasons.
@WolfyFancyLads3 жыл бұрын
@@X33Ultras0und I dunno what simulators you've seen, but most I play (with exception of some. As I mentioned, I played Crush Crush, which I'd argue *technically* still counts but at the same time doesn't cos it's a clicker game) have at least some depth to them. Sure, the character detail isn't THAT complex, I've tried to code that myself and it. Is. HELL. But! A lot of the ones I've used have characters with their own issues, tastes and general doubts or issues with dating the main character (or they already loved them but that's just dating sim cliche for ya). I'm talking traits like depression and suicidal thoughts, them being not boyfriend material, tsunderes, body issues, etc etc... Yeah, I play a lot of romance games.... Even tried making one with consequences in it but I never was good at finishing my projects. Still, point is, there's plenty of games that reward players for treating people as decently as you would in reality, building up a romance slowly with minimum flirting, until the player themselves learns the ins and outs of that fictional character. It may not be diverse (most dating sims are ages between 18 to 25 player characters) and they obviously can't have a "met them and never saw them again" attitude or it wouldn't work, but I'm just saying dating sims aren't as cut and dry as these assholes. They at least require some decency on the player's half. Sorry if this is a weird rant, I honestly didn't think this would become a thing, I thought it'd be more "Ha ha, nice guys are even worse than the most oversexualized dating sim" kinda thing. Plus, obviously, couldn't just let dating sims be roped in with these ass clowns. :P
@X33Ultras0und3 жыл бұрын
@@WolfyFancyLads Well, these nice guys are worse than those over sexualised dating sims, I just thought that most are like that. But you've proven me wrong. Also, you really should continue with making your game. With how much you like these games, you'll be glad you did.
@WolfyFancyLads3 жыл бұрын
@@X33Ultras0und Well, you were right to be wary, there's quite a few out there made just for nookie (porn is a quick money grab, after all). But even then there's some that have depth to it. That suicidal depression I mentioned? It's one of my faves. It has smut in but you just fall in love with the characters that it feels like a natural progression of their relationship (and takes time to get to). ^^ All part of the creator's talent, really. And thanks. :3 If I find the drive to I hope to do so (I suck at filler and coding is hell. I have the plot arcs, just gotta pad stuff out to last longer).

4:09 made me realize the abject terror that is Nice Guys. They genuinely don't understand how self absorbed, narcassitic, and creepy they actually are. They don't see women in abusive relationships as victims that need genuine support and help. They see it as just another obstacle to save the princess. But when that fails, when the reality of knowing someone in an abusive relationship sits in, they find some alpha/beta pseudo sexist philosophy or science to justify why that woman is not only getting abused, but DESERVES to be abused. It's all about them at the end of the day. It's honestly terrifying in ways that I don't even think *I* have phathommed completely yet. These men need professional help.

@eldritchabomination9726 the chivalric code was a code of conduct for knights and nobles. It covered everything from rules of engagement in combat, to proper etiquette in personal interactions with people based on their social status and position. It never applied to all knights however, as knights of monastic orders ( hospitaler, templar, teutonic, etc) followed the codes of their order.

After seeing the last guy's post, I felt the need to rationalize what exactly is the "bulked man gets women hur dur" thing. I wasn't mad because of the guy saying that the bulked guy gets all the girls, I was just really sad that, at some point, I can relate. But instead of being the muscular and rich part that contributes to that, it's basically confidence. I am in the same situation as OP, sitting next to the popular guy and athletic guy (they are the same), and I can tell you, that mate gets all the girls and shit. But no, not because he's muscular (maybe because he's tall but idk, being tall doesn't seem applausible as an answer), but because he has a good personality. When we're playing soccer, he doesn't go "I'm better than anyone", he usually goes "I am confident enough to take on some challenge". Not only that, he's not affraid to show what he likes to other people, and that, itself, encourage other people to do the same, not only women. No, it's not because the popular guy is rich and muscular, but it's because he's just, nice. A nice guy has such a charisma, that even guys want to be his friend. So yeah, grow up a bit and be more confident, *maybe* things will work out to you, OP.

They are sexist and believe women don't have agency for anything but their skewed view of how biology and attraction works. It's why they get so angry when women reject them, by their view, they're the "perfect specimen" so women should fall into their lap, but when they don't they have to retcon it into something being wrong with them that fits their worldview(blaming their looks or money instead of their horrid personalities) or the woman has to be wrong because they're so great it's dumb not to want them. Anything other than women having individual wants and desire or any agency, because that would mean they'd have to acknowledge that they were wrong (and probably of a piece of shit)

I used to be a niceguy. Maybe not to the level of some of those guys but close. I would curse women out, tell them they’re ugly if they didn’t answer, tell them their looks are on borrowed time this and that. Ok maybe I was just as bad, same effect you know. I realized I was just generally insecure and unhappy bf women were a scapegoat. I almost went into Mgtow but was lucky enough to have friends to put perspective into me. I had to change myself from the ground up, fundamentally, to have any success in my life. Once I learned to be happy, the thought of even speaking to anyone like this, let alone a woman, doesn’t exist anymore. Not everyone is ready or even lucky enough to have such friends or experiences to change them. I’ve made a lot of mistakes and still do but now I l have more respect and not only did my success with woman and life increase, I am horrified by my past self. If I was more relaxed early, my life would’ve been different.

I have a "nice guy"(?) ex. I broke up with him because he was getting way too clingy, and it just irritated me, I had no bad feelings towards him. After that, he became more clingy than a tick on a turtle and just did genuinely annoying things, like one time he was sitting behind me one day, and the next day, he was sitting infront of me. He did not like that. He started complaining about not staring at me and whenever he did projects he would say to me "I was trying so hard not to stare at you." Even though we were friends, not even dating. Sometimes he'll force me to hold his hand with me not even knowing and catching me off-guard. Plus, I think about all the times he tried to touch me (NOT sexually of course), and i'd just start crying, because I know he probably feels proud of it. Also, he found my email without me even telling him my email, using his dads email so he wouldn't get caught of finding my email without being told what it is. I'm going to friend him on discord since I blocked him on everything, and tell him the truth. Then I will cut off all contact of him. I'm sorry if I sound like a "Nice guy"/"Nice girl", I just needed to vent because everyone with brush me off by saying "He just likes you." I'll try to keep you guys updated

Work on yourself. If you re a wreck you ll find a wreck if you re good you l find someone feeling good. Sometimes it’s not the case but it sure looks like that most of the time. Try to have fun and hang with people. You ll enventually find someone and if not you ll be having fun at least. I dont think you can really force that kind of stuff
@reedy_96193 жыл бұрын
And for the wreck part you wont have a sane relationship with one (at least from my experience and what i ve heard from others) sure it might feel nice give you companionship an objective etc but it’s not necessarily better than being alone and might make you do stupid shit. Well do what you want from it i m just trying to give hope. Im not yet independant and im probably ill advised on some stuff. Just be a decent human being dont be naive tho dont give up and shit should fly straight.
@camellia19423 жыл бұрын
@@reedy_9619 so.. thanks for giving me hope. But a bit of backstory.. well there's this girl, we clicked alot and loved each other dearly. Well whatever she did wouldn't have changed my mind about her and I showed her nothing but love and we were happy. This literally had no forewarning signs, I even asked her a few days ago that is he's happy in the relationship and she said she really was, and that I was a really great bf. But no she had to ruin it and break up with me for someone else and trying to string me along now saying one day we'll be together bs. That's why I said no more relationships because it still hurts because it's so fresh and well.. I still love her. This happened like a 10 days ago or something idk.. but I was being the best boyfriend material and still I get treated like that and I've had bad experiences with people in general, I feel like I'd rather die alone.. I know not everyone is like this and I'm not blaming anyone but myself for all this. Sorry I guess the long distance aspect didn't work for her anymore even though she said it doesn't matter . Well clearly it did if she broke up with me because of it.. I'm someone who doesn't care about sex tbh, unless it's someone I truly love and I know not everyone is like this so I asked her multiple times before dating her that if she's fine doing so or not but I guess I just don't deserve love.. as said before have had bad experiences with people
@camellia19423 жыл бұрын
@@reedy_9619 I've worked on myself alot the past few years. Bettered my personality and been working out and have a decent physique now, atleast for a 17 year old.. but I love too much and I don't think anyone could accommodate to that.. so idk what the future holds but the way things are currently I don't even see myself living for long let alone dating anyone
@ye47203 жыл бұрын
@@camellia1942 your idea of love is misunderstood and it shows how you love and respect yourself. That being said, there is no such thing as enough self work. You have to constantly improve. Personally, I steer away from online relationships because they are lacking. Work on your self love. The way you love and respect others is a projection of hoe you love and respect yourself... Think about and consider what you value about the person next time before getting into a relationship and dont get too attached. The truth about relationships is it starts off as sugarcoated best friends then after time truly becomes a genuine relationship.
