In fairness vaginal PH is a legit concern. However just rinsing off with plain water after your bubble bath is enough to deal with it you don't need to use a tampon every time you take a bath. Got to disagree with you on the spray bottle story, with a cavate: There are illnesses that can be passed on to a baby via kissing them especially during the first 6 months when baby cant be vaxed against some of them (whooping couch and C-19 are prime examples). If mom has told on numerous times family to not kiss her child then she is getting her point across in a non harmful way. Though honestly mom should also not allow said family members to interact with child until family members follow direction. Heads up if a mom says not to touch her child then you don't touch the child, consent matters.

It might be hard for mom to keep the family at bay due to shaming and other family 'politics'. The thing is, as long as the child can't vocalize their preferance the parents are the ones that set the boundries and the extended family is blatantly disregarding these. It doesn't really matter where they are kissing the child. Also what are they going to do when the child sets the exect same boundaries if they already disregard the parents, most people would be offended, if a child dares to deny such things and force them onto the child. The sooner the family learns it is worng to disregard boundaries, that are set about and later on hopefully by the child the better.

Gonna say, with the mom who says very vaguely that she found "drugs" in her daughter's room, and that the dad "wouldn't be reasonable," I'm wondering if it was a prescription. Maybe even mental health related. That would make sense why she KNOWS the husband won't listen to her. I only have this theory because it's exactly what would have happened when *I* was a teen. My stepmom HATED medication of any kind, insisted they were the same as "street drugs," and actually took me off of several prescribed medications against doctor's orders, but my dad never really seemed to have her back on it. Whatever it is definitely doesn't harm her ability to function in school, chances are she needs/takes it in order to function in the first place! I think shes not using a proper child seat and instead only one of those car seats you can put higher for kids. So there's only the normal 3 point strap which you can slide out of easily. As 5 very dement grandmas prove every other shift of mine and if they are particularly motivated we don't really have another option but to put the strap under the pit instead of the shoulder for the transfer. (We cant restrain anyone legally but if grandma Jean is wanting to walk out the back of the ambulance in the middle of the Highway we have to do sth. It works but a motivated toddler can learn to escap that it's also not exactly the safest option. The belt works way better if you put it over your shoulder. If he's small enough to slide out she should definitly still he using a proper car seat though.

The pH balance thing actually does matter when it comes to the lower parts (being careful with wording so this doesn't get deleted). It leads to infection if messed up. However, taking a bath will not affect it if you're not using stuff like bath bombs (which you shouldn't be using on a baby anyway). The thing that will affect it is putting soap directly inside the opening. That's the point where it is an internal organ and can clean itself. You can wash the lips, just not the hole. Edited to add: As people in the replies pointed out, if you're washing there or around there with anything but water, make sure it is safe to put there. Gentle non-perfumed soaps/products made for that purpose. Don't try to wash the inside at all.

Plus, many c-section moms (like me) desperately wanted to deliver vaginally, but ultimately had to let go of the birth they wanted in order to deliver safely. You want to tell those moms they're also not good enough for some BS reason? Ma'am, I put my wants and preference aside for the well-being of my child and that is *exactly* what a mom does.

As a dude here how exactly is a C-section supposedly taking the easy way? A C-section sounds like something that wouldn't be out of place in a saw movie. Or would be depicted as the cover art for a black metal album.

Me: Sorry, Mom, but Facebook says you're not actually my rEaL mother, so I'm gonna have to disown you as a parent now. My Mom: 👁️👄👁️

Every kid deserves parents... But not every parent deserves a kid

you deserve a place in this world and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Look, about the C-section thing around the 7:00 mark. Some people come up with the weirdest shit just to feel superior to others. That's all this is, she desperately needs to be better than her "friend", so much so that she makes up trash like you're not a real mother when you had c-section. That is so absurd and absolutely arbitrary, being a parent is not defined by the way you give birth or if you give birth at all. If you assume the role of a parent and care for a child (or multiple children) you are a parent, end of discussion. Being a parent is not achieved by simply bringing a child into this world.

If being a parent was based on how you delivered a baby, section moms would be super parents. Sections are....intense. I delivered vaginally both times but I used to scrub sections and...holy crap!

FYI the smash cake is something commonly done here in the southern USA, it’s just a cake that the birthday baby is allowed to like grab and eat with their hands/smear all over their face etc!

Thank you, I was terrified that the thing where a parent smashes their kid's face into the cake was so common it had its own terminology and stuff...

Yea I recently learned what a smash cake is And in my country there is indeed a tradition to push your kids face in a cake when they turn 1 so for me smash cake in correlation with smashing a face in there was perfectly normal. I had my face planted into a cake when I was 1

Click's reaction to the maternal bee post is probably my favorite one out of the rest I've seen so far. The way he said "Allergic", the distortion of the image as he did, the face afterwards and the little scrunch at the sides of his nose a little later is just a beautiful glittering comedy gold for me. 💖

I am a teen Mom and I had to give my son up when he was around 3 years old because I knew for a fact that I could not take care of him the way that he should have been. He is in a fantastic family and is being taken care of more than I absolutely ever could have. I understand that people want to be able to try and to be able to prove that they are able to take care of the children that they have brought into this world, but at some point you have to understand that, depending on the circumstances, you need to be able to relinquish your power and make sure that the child is growing up in the best way possible.

I was also just under 19 years old when I have my son, he is almost 9 years old today, he was roughly average weight. (7.2 lbs) and I had an extremely easy labour, but the fact that people are trying to have babies who are underweight honestly makes me fear for humanity

You scared me for a minute, the English concept of "teen" is always quite confusing, it's broad like "I had a kid at 13" or "I had a kid at 19" are completely different situations though both are classified as "teen", frick you English language
