Some wholesomeness: Every time someone says something bad going on in the world, I get really sad. Unless it's my girlfriend telling me. Then I get a little angry, and a lot more optimistic. my entire day isn't ruined. I don't know why this is. Maybe I trust her to fix things, or maybe the joy of seeing her and talking to her cancels out the bad news. My girlfriend is an activist, and I love her so much (don't tell her I said that).

this is so wholesome. i'm just sad that this doesn't happen with me because i don't have a real father and the stepfather that i have is extremely strict. as in, if i try to start an argument with him because of him thinking that what i said is a lie, even though it is true, he doesn't ask me if everything is alright. he simply screams at me and tells me to give him all of the electronics, the only things that i have that can help me get through life as they are the only ways i can keep in touch with my friends outside college due to this pandemic.

I've got two memes I relate to that might warm your heart. If it gives you the sads, I apologize. 10:13 - I still have very vivid memories of literally asking my dad to fight me because I loved to play rough. I was so young, he had to show me how to properly form a fist. He passed away in May of 2015, still one of my many favorite memories together. 12:29 - I am an artist, I have been since I was 3. My father was one too, he taught me all he could in the limited time he had. However, I despise every piece I make. It's never good enough and someone is always better. if you struggle with remembering cringe moments in your life, remind yourself every time they pop up that there’s a good chance no one but you remembers that even happened. you don’t remember every single embarrassing thing everyone around you has ever done, right? so odds are, you only remember it because you were the one actively doing something you now cringe at instead of witnessing it. besides that, what’s done is done! it’s in the past, and it’s not like worrying about it will change what happened. the best thing to do is just keep moving forwards with what you know now! this mindset really helped me with some cringe memories and now I can listen to Metallica again without feeling a wave of embarrassment (it’s a… long story, lol), so I hope it helps someone else too! stay safe out there! 💜
