I think the writer of the game screwed up and misused him, didn't stablished him enough as better than the predecessor, and made him die too easily, and too quickly, could give him a gimmick like summoning beasts from the hollow, he sure is more ferocius but in my perception sorta did him a bit of a disservice, his intelligence appears..downplayed as result, conpare that to raam, he was more about hate rather than fury, could keep his head cool even in the fight and that made him more dangerous as a whole.

Much more character development went into RAAM I think, maybe if we were able to experience as much play time against Scorge as we were RAAM we may have feared him more! Not really RAAM was for sure more menacing I feel, Scorge could probably put up a good fight one on one though.

Skorge enjoyed fighting, Raam enjoyed winning. That's why Skorge is deemed more ferocious, it's a game to him. Nearly convinced he's a Predator reference, especially with the dreads and tribal weaponry.

In my opinion, Skorge was indeed more ferocious than Raam. But. Skorge's ferocity was unfocused, and easily outdone by Raams sheer brutality and vicious focus owing to his intelligence and implementation of psychological warfare.

Raam is arguably tougher and more durable than Skorge. In the RAAM's shadow DLC, RAAM was shot out of a Reaver from a greater height and fell to the ground with minor injuries, while Skorge fell to his death from what seems like a fall much lesser than RAAM's. Either way, Skorge was a really good boss, he was more agile and a faster paced boss fight, which is the opposite from RAAM's boss fight. I liked the contrast.

It took me multiple attempts to kill RAAM, I think I was able to kill Sourge on my second try. RAAM IMO was a near unstoppable force of nature and knew it. Sourge on the other hand wasn’t and knew it, which probably explains why he kept jumping around all of the place.

I'm gonna be that guy, and say I don't think easy mode counts, Insane or Hardcore (preferably Insane) would be a better indicator because that's "realistic". I know for a fact the RAAM Insane fight is one of the hardest in the franchise.

Doing a gears 2 insane campaign right now, and I've already gotten stuck less than I did in gears 1 if that's any indication. I think they knocked down a lot of the damage or at least AI on 2. Ultimate edition had me shittin my pants with some of the fights whereas gears 2 is just about turtling and waiting.

Jack Houghton I found Insane on UE relatively easy, until Act V when things got much more difficult because of the tighter rooms, lanes, enemy #s, distance, and the Brumak. The Brumak took me two days to beat (a couple hours the 1st day, then a couple tries the 2nd....). RAAM was a true bitch. I forgot how I beat him.

I started the series with the second game and when Marcus said Skorge made RAAM look like a goddamn pushover. Well I got the 1st installment and when I got to RAAM it took me like 5 to 10 tries to kill him but Skorge was more of a pushover than RAAM.

I think both RAAM and Skorge were amazing in their own way. RAAM was quite the leader to aid on the Locust's quest to destroy humanity during his leadership, and Skorge properly took on his role after RAAM was killed. Needless to say however, Marcus is the most badass of the franchise and beyond.

The battle against Skorge was much easier than the one against RAAM. I remember that it took me a lot of tries to defeat RAAM and I ran out of ammo a lot of those times, while Skorge took me like 3 times because the Hydra always ended up killing me on the surface part, but I quickly figured out how to do it. RAAM was way more challenging.

Raam was like a T-Rex, Skorge is like a raptor. Both respectively powerful with their own strengths and weaknesses. Raam was big, beefy, a bullet sponge x10. Skorge was the nimple ripper type that used speed and rush down attacks, and ultimately a tanky mount when all else failed.

Whats funny is Skorge isnt a locust in the traditional sense. The kantus priests were indigenous creatures in the hollow, like the worms, brumaks, reavers, etc. Also, he wasnt the only high priest. Ketor Vrol has still there for a while

I think Raam was more deadly and dangerous but Skorge was more ferocious being as he was more after hunting a fight and dealing long lasting with the rift worm whereas Raam was more of a frontline offensive general used to move their forces deeper into enemy territory. Skorge with his saw cut the centaur in half and jumped onto the enemy rig to get after them as they attempted to flee in his eyes and Raam used his troops and kryll to fight and devastate those in his way.

alright this is how i see the locust leaders. kaarn is a tactician that didnt get enough time to actually do anything (wouldve been neat to see him survive and do stuff later in the war) raam was a master tactician/ imposing badass he was fighting 2 fronts for 14 years. the war againts humanity and the war against the lambent. he was one of the best genrals in the locust horde and personally i think couldve allied with humanity for his own benefit during the lambent wiping out everything. its unlikely but i believe he couldve done so if absolutely need be. then we get to skorge. so skorge was a religous leader turned general. he wasnt as smart or tactical as raam and i dont think he couldve ran a military campaign like raamy boy did but for shock and awe tactics skorge seemed like your guy. he knew that if the horde didnt act fast that the lambent wouldnbt overun them so he decided "TIME FOR GODWORM"

Skorge was indeed fierce...but being fierce was his downfall, as he was only focused on killing the enemy, but he didn't have anything plan for that fight and let it carry out on its own...but RAAM had planned his battles or his attacks, also assassinations for then enemy, just like how Kim went out by RAAM, but he didn't plan out his last battle very well, as he was defeated by explosions, lights and gun fire... Edit: Also, RAAM has the Kryll by his side to protect or kill, Skorge didn't...

Easy way to fix Skorge: show us the torture Tai was being put through during the infiltration into the locust territory and make him ask marcus for a mercy kill, this way is shown grafically how horryfing will be the destiny of marcus if he or the squad fails in this place and gives Skorge the menacing effect he needs, just an idea, and maybe we could see the Hydra feeding on COG soldiers that are still alive, so that way is even more amplified what will happen if we failed, just a thought on what could be done.

Keep in mind RAAM's backstory wasn't expanded until the expansion of Gears 3. When Gears 2 came out Scorge was an upgrade and then became a downgrade as RAAM was made more intimidating and powerful.

It has nothing to do with Earth and the humanity we are living in. But note that the Serans have similar Gods and mythology like the Greeks, like Ares (Sera backwards, and in judgement you can see statues of Ares) The Serans are though more straight forward than what humans are. They have no time to prey and have tried obscured an "perfect" society before the many wars the coalition have been in. I think that Gears have been trying to learn us that every society can fall even how great it may be. The massive wars destroyed everything. COG is human respect, it was resolved around justice and the COG gears have corperated "in a bond that is thighter than blood."

Oh and lambent is imulsion=Fuel=Power=Needed for the perfect society, to stand for there own survival as a nation and species, The UIR is the other big nation, that is in war because of how the imulsion shall be controlled. They both want it all, which equals war. There are other countries in Gears that is as say similar to many other countries in Earth.

RAAM and Skorge while both are extremely intelligent. It is in my personal opinion I believe RAAM is more bronze and while skorge maybe slightly more intelligent he's more agile, but Karn on the other hand he is just the smartest one out of them all he is a tactical genius. raam vs skorge, no competition. raam would decimate him reason why skorge wasnt general at the time and had to wait till he died in order to clsim the title coz raam was waaaaaaay to powerful, think about it, marcus and dom had to have a miriad of things fall into their favor in order to stand a fighting chance against raam and then have air support to essentially debuff raam for them to deal damage whereas skorge fought with all his strength and marcus (with some help of his buddies) overpowered him and injured him bad enough to send him retreating. i cant even begin to think what atrocity raam would be if he was lambent

RAAM was outright a better bloody tactician / fighter then skorge... but skorge has a pet worm that can sink CITIES! 3 entire Cities were destroyed by skorge's Pet "Slippery Tube Dude" For Might and lethiality on the battlefield, RAAM would definatly win. while skorge excels in destroying EVERYTHING. (i love RAAM way more tho)

I think skorge would slap raam even with krill since he had the hydra and the rift worm which would squash raam but in a 1v1 without krill or hydra I still think skorge would still win since I think he would be faster
