The swarm Snatcher is a creature who seemingly formed out of nowhere. While we all the fauna of the hollow again, some have disappeared entirely. They may have just come back in new forms. This creature in particular is highly adept at grabbing and transporting humans to pods where they will be remade into the swarm. So the question is, where did these creatures come form and how are they capable of carrying out these tasks? Lets discuss that in todays episode!

It is clear the Kraken was once a normal Seran creature, perhaps a distant relative of the riftworm which adapted to the sands of Vasgar, like how the Rock worms are apparently related to the rift worm.

So I'm curious. Did the anti-immulsion device that crystalized the Locust somehow psychically link the Snatchers to the rest of the Swarm? The Locust war beasts were tamed and trained by the Locust but they were indigenous Hollow creatures. Were the Snatchers also tamed or did the Swarm psychic network allow them to coordinate with Drones?

Creature at the end couldve been a mutated rift worm showing that they almost look alike and almost have the same body mass, because a brumak is simply too small and an levithan wouldve need to go through changes to breath on land and operate on land.

I'm not so sure on the Reaver angle. The bestial Swarm don't possess the Imulsion crystal-laden features of the Locust that were put into hibernation and in fact all share a crimson carapace and tentacles instead. I think it's more likely they're simply a unique form of life that Ukkon may have engineered to act as a backup plan in case the Locust were ever wiped out for whatever reason in order to replenish/recreate the horde and fight humanity once again.

Hey Roanoke I had an idea in relation to the Swarm that I wouldnt mind getting your view on. The Swarm originated from the Locust, of this there is no doubt, but the exact process of how this was set in motion to the best of my knowledge was never really explained. While there are the crystal cocoons that do explain the incubation process for how the Locust underwent the metamorphisis, where exactly did this ability come from, and in addition why can the Swarm assimilate and create new types of bioforms? This question really bugged me for a while, but after doing a playthrough of GoW3 again I noticed that Adam Fenix said that his machine would break down the Imulsion infection at the cellular level, and that if any host was largely infected they would die as well. Since the Locust were created using Imulsion, does this suggest that theyre DNA is highly complimentary to each other? My thinking is that since the Imulsion/Lambent is a parasitic organism, capable of not only infecting its host but also as shown in GoW3 able to repurpose/mutate them (Drudges as a good example), and that if it was destroyed at a cellular level and not a degree smaller such as molecular or atomic then perhaps some sequences of its DNA broke off and merged with the Locust DNA since they wouldve already been infected through exposure and because of creation. To me at least this would explain the Swarm, which posses the higher intelligence and hivemind of the Locust but also the assimilation and bioforming abilities of the Imulsion/Lambent. In short, could the Swarm actually be a hybrid of Locust and Imulsion. To me at least the evidence seems to suggest it. Id like to point out though that biology isnt my strong suit so if I got any concepts or terms wrong then thats completely on me. Would be nice to get your view on this though if you dont mind, but regardless love your channel and the content you make, lots of fun.

But the Leviathans already had the characteristics of sea monsters ((and the name too)), wich this boss also has ((tentacles, the body itself, the way it moves, etc)). So i dunno, i don't think there is any chance of that being a Brumak really...

I'm curious if your played Gears Tactics because they have some new implications on the creatures of the Hollow. In the game according to the COG the main bad guy, and lead scientist of the Locust, Ukkon created the Brumak and Corpsers and some of the other weaponized creatures. I always thought they were native to Sera but then again it would make sense since they do look like regular locust enemies just modified heavily.

Ukkon engineered the Brumak and Corspers from existing life forms. The Brumak is a mutated Ape, thus its related to both Humans and Locust. An Easter egg in Gears 5 implies that the Wretch was created by Niles Samson using imulsion mutation and genetic engineering.

I'm not sure about the Kraken, but the Hive Boss at the end of Gears 4 was definitely a Leviathan that had been mutated following the activation of Adam's weapon. The faces are pretty much the same, as well as the body types. The only real difference between the two is that the Hive Boss is able to walk on land and dig through the ground, whereas an ordinary Leviathan is waterlocked.
