For those wondering about the new bunny, I did remove that video, as she displayed symptoms of illness soon after she arrived. She is currently quarantined and being treated with antibiotics for what was likely an illness induced by a combination of immune stress from changing environments AND she had been given a booster dose of BunnyVac just three days prior to pickup (which I was not told before purchasing her). I do not yet know her prognosis.

First time get to see the kindling~ good job Cora mama~ the 5 kits look healthy beautiful angels♡ and whoever wanna hate, you are wrongly targetting a very loving responsible person here. If they really wanna hate on something, should go to those that aggressively breed without rest period for the mothers n cramped wire bottom cages with no freeroam time and no hay only cheap pellets.

I have absolutely no problem with, and am actually grateful for, ethical and responsible breeders. Without people like you we wouldn't have the wonderful rabbit breeds we have today. Adoption is always my first choice, but sometimes people just want/need a particular breed for whatever reason, and purchasing from a good breeder who knows and cares for their bunnies is always the way to go, rather than buying from a pet shop that may not know/care where the rabbits come from. Responsible breeders also know a TON about caring for rabbits, and are great educators about bunny care - as you so clearly demonstrate :D

The lady that sold them to us said they were both males. One of them was not. A month ago Fluffy gave birth. We believe she got pregnant the same night. Well all four died. And she just gave birth like 10 mins ago. And this video was really helpful. I thought some stuff she did wasnt normal but turns out it was according to this. So thank you for that.

"Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They're either lonely, they're missing somebody, they're depressed, they're hurt, they're scarred from the past, they're having personal issues no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you don't feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed about the past, don't worry about the future, and just focus on today. If today's not so great don't worry! Tomorrow's a new chance. Tbh I don't understand why you'd get hateful comments about something like this. You're one of the most ethical rabbit breeders I see! All the cages are clean and well-cared for, the rabbits are healthy and clearly in gorgeous condition, they aren't overbred, and the babies are all super cute and obviously loved. Breeding pets when there are an abundance of adoptable animals can be frowned upon, yeah, but there's a vast difference between mass-breeding cats and dogs purely for profit, and ethically breeding critters like rabbits, who have shorter lifespans than cats and dogs and don't tend to flood the shelters the way that cats and dogs do (unfortunately; I love those animals as much as I do with rabbits, but they really shouldn't be bred unless you're looking for a purebred, which is...expensive and often not the best choices, given their health issues)

No, this will only happen if you some how smell like predator then she will feed them less times a day, but mothers rarely abandon their kits unless they've had a lot of contact with predators.

At 6:13, you write that you hold mom to feed any skinny baby. Can you show how to do that?
@HooksHollands4 жыл бұрын
It depends on what the mom will allow. I held Cora gently on her side on a towel and held the baby to her with my other hand, cupping the baby in case Cora kicked or jolted. Some does are too skittish to make this a feasible option though.

You can find some on Amazon. You can also try petco.com. I buy my hay(American Pet Diner Timothy Gold) and food (Science Selective) for my boys. It is MUCH cheaper to get it via petco.com. If you get repeat delivery (many time order options) they don't charge shipping. The best part is it comes right to your door! Oxbow is a good brand as well, but my boys are super picky!
