RABBIT HUNT CATCH AND COOK

Hunt rabbit and Catch and cook it in the skillet pan down on the farm. To Hunt rabbits and catch them is a real chore as the rabbits are a real pest and cause lots of damage leading to erosion and dangerous holes that the cows can fall into thus breaking their legs if not careful. Hunt catch n cook has been around for centuries and is a way of eating the freshest food nature can provide.
Wild rabbit is free range organic meat that cannot get any fresher than straight off the pasture. We do not use any chemicals on the farm so all the livestock is totally organic and allowed to browse freely.
The rabbits enjoy this freedom and occasionally we remove them for the table. in this video we removed a rabbit during the hunt using a 22 rimfire rifle and used a load of butter to sear it and then taste test it.
It would be best to slow cook and brine any game meat to ensure the meat is tender and tasty. This is just our way we did it today.

A good rabbit 🐰 is in a slow cooked Ragu. I used to go Rabbit hunting with Dad, Grandpa and Uncle ignatious, We would bring at least a dozen rabbits home, gut them, clean them, cook them and freeze some. Delicious 😋 yes the slow cooker is the best way to cook. Thumbs up 👍🏽 Like #55

The rabbits in Australia are in plague proportions most of the year but recently we banned them from holding a weapon 😂😂😂 They taste as tough as they look you need some good teeth if your cooking rabbit fast in a pan. Ok! So the beginning was so well made. It was exciting and the adrenaline started right up with that music and drone footage. I had to pause it as I'm going, to be honest before going forward. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop at any moment and be left laughing. I won't be disappointed either way though. OK, here we go. It was like sending the dogs out to scout the hunt with the kids on the bikes. Still so exciting. Bonfire Night and you show multiple fires. NIGHT TIME! I like rabbit. ( I have yours too catch up on sorry ). I wanted to show more entertaining footage as you mention above so it’s no so boring just being right in front of the camera. They did look like little chicken legs and I’m glad I have good teeth as it was quite tough not being slow cooked. A kangaroo leg or tail would be an awesome video I would just need to get a permit to shoot them as they are a native animal 😊 Wasn’t sure how well received the hunting would go so I just through this little teaser out for the moment. Great hunt Ryan. I have the Marlin .22 cal. I also enjoy eating rabbit. Try it in a stew really good. Which make of .22 cal you have. I also use the gamo swarm whisper .22 cal pellet rifle with a 3x9x40 scope set at 40 yards. It works well. Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍👍 love these videos.

That was some great shooting. Very well put together story. I can't say that I have ever had rabbit that I know of, but you made it look very tasty. Up here the boys like to go after gopher's. There are a ton of them and they do the same thing with the holes. This is my second view, I just didn't leave a comment as MD. I just need to improve on the recipe a little bit mate to make it taste nice.......or softer 😂😂 I think it’s because we are spoilt because of how we cook the finer cuts of meat. When I was younger we had mutton and lamb a lot as it was really cheap in Australia. My dad had rabbit stew all the time. I’d like to try and film a few more of these and take the time to cook it a variety of ways to see how it goes. KFC rabbit sounds good 😂😂

TheHuski 😳 I’ve taken a few ducks with shot guns and I can say the same thing. Not a pleasant way to eat them. I prefer to employ similar techniques for all my game. The little camp stove is what I use in all my cooking videos. Cheap as and provides lots of heat in a wind free environment. Ill have to get a recipe off you then mate to cook one up properly. I'm thinking the slow cooker or dutch oven stew is the best to really soften the meat. The bonfires were just awesome and i couldn't have picked a better night to light them. Hope you had a great weekend mate its daylight savings time over here now and 31c. :)))

Ryan Ingleton I like to do them two ways 1) rabbit sausage patties you can look at my venison sausage patty the recipe is in the description . 2) rabbit stir fry I debone the rabbit and slice into bit sized strips . Soak them in salt water over night then season the meat with Chinese 5 spice and fresh ginger ( easy on the ginger a little goes a long way ) fry on low with olive oil and soy sauce when about half cooked add your stir fry veggies what ever you prefer I like sprouts , celery , carrots , and sweet onion . Cover and let it steam , thicken with a little corn starch and hot water . Then enjoy ! Hope that helps bud . Enjoy your next rabbit feast

Thanks Mark I thought I would try a little different approach in this video mate. Humane and ethical hunting was the approach and no wastage. Awesome video Ryan, looked like a very fun time. I used to hunt Rabbit and Pheasant here in the states with my Dad and Brother. I watched an older video on the rabbits in Australia, and there were herds of them just roaming and destroying everything due to no natural predators. Didn't they even try to fence them in to contain them?

Gday Gene yes mate you are correct. Their is an extremely long rabbit proof fence that was installed way out west ( even a movie named after it ). They breed so fast and cause massive devastation If left unchecked. I thought I’d mix my videos up a little and see how they are received. DataWatch yes Mark that was my first shot for the night mate. Couldn’t have been a better one really and I didn’t even know Riley has the camera turned on. Glad he did as it came up ok. It did taste like chicken but it needs to be slow cooked to get the real benefit. Maybe I can try that way another time depending on how well the video gets received. So far so good I think. Really hot over here now I’m out the back with the Karcher finishing off the back porch. 6.11 pm so I think it’s beer o clock 😂😂😂 Have a great day Mark and thanks again 😊

What camera? I was watching at 1080p and was a bit grainy but then changed it to 1440 and was crystal clear, just had to wait for it to buffer a min.

OG Timbercraft I used the GoPro hero 9 black mate. I would need a light if I plan on doing more of this but the camera straight out of the box is just awesome. No colour grading at all just straight from the film. The video is actually at 2160p if your internet can handle it. The Mavic mini can only produce images at 1440p so I had to render that up to suit. The dark night and the smoke made it tough. Thanks mate I appreciate your time as always 😊👍

Jdubb Vlogs thanks Jdubb it’s probably the most organic meat you could have to be honest. I’m lucky I have good teeth as well so I’d recommend the slow cooker. Nice to have the internet back after 10 days in the dark 😩😩 very quiet at home I can say. Our chickens are full of steroids as well and our meat is mostly grain fed in feed lots ( except our grass fed free range cows 😊) Hope you are well and having a great weekend and thanks for everything 😊
