Man, I've been spending so much time and effort racing enduro that my XR650L has been sitting for a year and half and I haven't done any moto-camping trips since 2017. I watch R2P religiously and somehow it's your "Lyndon's Luggage" video that's giving me the itch to ADV again.

Thanks for sharing Lyndon. When they made the tank bag, if the would have flipped one of the quick disconnect clips, then after you disconnected the bag from the bike, you would be able to connect the two ends of the straps together. This would allow you to hang the strap over your shoulder to free up a hand when carrying things. Just an idea. Stay safe and don’t break anything (else).

Fantastic video Lyndon. Amazing to see all the stuff you carry and given the massive adventure you’ve been on it’s interesting to see your version of the essentials. Only thing missing for me .. all that stuff but only a 2 litre water bladder? Surely you have more water than the bladder in your backpack given the remote locations you’re travelling in. So how much do you carry and where?

Wow, this is excellent. Thanks Lyndon! I'm often thinking of better ways of packing my bike and really enjoy finding out how a pro like yourself has found to do it. Also great advertising of the products you're using. Your opinion really matters to guys (and gals) like us. I am curious as to why you don't use a form of tubeless tires. We all know you're no stranger to flats. I've been meaning to convert to tubeless, is there a reason you don't?

With the amount of weight you already have on your bike, a couple of gramms won't make that much of a difference, but the Leatherman Rebar offers more ( albeit not always the same) tools while also being slightly lighter and slightly better packable than the Wave, du to a more rectangular form. I do like the Enduristan backpack. But before I invest in that, i think i'll buy a proper set of sidecases. Far more useful on my road bike...
