Confused. She picks up the beer and tastes it, puts it down. He picks it up and tastes it, meanwhile she takes the other beer and tastes it. He's holding her beer when the camera cuts to the audience, and when the camera cuts back to them the beer is on the counter. Unless they exchanged the glasses, they chose the old beer as the better one.
