Surprising that Rachel didn't spot that you could also do the first numbers round by multiplying by 3: 6 + 1 = 7 25 x 7 = 175 175 - 9 = 166 8 - 5 = 3 166 x 3 = 498 In the second round, I saw the contestants' method and also had these: 6 + 5 = 11 25 x 11 = 275 275 + 9 + 8 = 292 292 - 1 = 291 25 + 8 = 33 33 x 9 = 297 297 - 6 = 291 25 + 9 + 1 = 35 35 x 8 = 280 280 + 6 + 5 = 291 In the third numbers round, I saw both contestants' solutions and also had this "five-small" solution, omitting the 100: 9 x 4 = 36 36 - 5 = 31 31 x 3 x 2 = 186 And these solutions with the 100: 5 + 4 = 9 9 x 9 = 81 100 + 81 + 3 + 2 = 186 9 x 4 = 36 100 - 36 - 2 = 62 62 x 3 = 186 In the final numbers round, I sort of saw Rachel's solution, except I did it this way: 8 x 6 = 48 48 - 7 = 41 3 + 3 = 6 41 x 6 x 4 = 984 And I also had these solutions: 7 x 6 x 3 = 126 126 - 3 = 123 123 x 8 = 984 8 x 7 x 3 = 168 168 - 4 = 164 164 x 6 = 984
