I love trifle my all time favourite desert . I made one last week for some friends I met up with in Cornwall England . It was the desert that I knew everyone would love . I made mine with chocolate sponge at the base ,I use muffins from supermarket , and two tins of black cherries 🍒 drained , save the juice ,,,,,, soaked cherries in a cup full of sherry over night , and next day made a jelly using cherry liquid and the sherry from the cherries . Poured it over cherries and chocolate sponge let it set then had three different colours of custard set into layers yellow, pink, and the top was vanilla custard. To dress grated white chocolate with dark chocolate shapes I made from melted chocolate onto greaseproof paper random shapes .. it sets quickly in freezer and can be used straight from there . It took centre stage on the table and looked great , just like yours did . I love to watch your recipes , you make things look so easy , easily my favourite cook to watch ..... it’s everyday cooking at its best 👍❤️👍

My goodness Mrs Rachel, I can’t imagine someone getting mad at you because you can’t answer every comment on all your pages. There are literally thousands. Only someone that has to answer a lot of comments would understand how hard that is. Which I do, because I get a lot of messages on my Facebook and I try to respond to all of them and thank them all, but sometimes you just can’t do it it gets very tiresome. I’m sorry how that person treated you, but I think you handled it very good, and truly Christ like. You are in my prayers. I just started watching your videos tonight and I have thoroughly enjoyed them, and I know I will be trying a lot of your recipes I can tell by looking at them they are delicious, an can’t wait to try them. I make the English one, and I make a vanilla pudding, and of course I have 'leftover pound cake, and fruit, same as you strawberries, raspberries, sometimes cherries if they are in season, grapes too. I find the pudding settles nicely, I make it one day ahead and the only whipping cream I use is on the top just before I am ready to serve it. I also put a bit of brandy in the pieces of cake, not much but a little sweet brandy. I like your version, but need to not use too much whipping cream as it seems to melt if I leave it in the fridge overnight. Have you ever tried making it with home made vanilla pudding instead of whipping cream?

I forgot to mention that I used a yellow cake mix, as you mentioned in your video that we can use another flavor cake mix, and because it being autumn and celebrating Thanksgiving I used a yellow cake mix and got alittle creative and added a couple of drops of orange food coloring and whirling it with a toothpick, it bought out the season holiday, I was really proud of my self but couldn't have done it without you. This looks delious. Do you sweeten your strawberries? I sometimes find strawberries to be a little tart and not sweet. The only problem I see is if you sweeten the strawberries, it would make a syrup and breakdown the cake.
