Dang... that's a good idea...putting a dehumidifier in the garage. That'd drastically change the way the garage feels when detailing, especially if you're washing. Also... I love all your stainless steel shelving and racks and whatnot. I've been struggling hardcore trying to find some nice strong shelving that looks good and holds a nice amount. Right now I'm struggling with finding the space in my small garage and I need to get as much stuff off of the floors as much as I can so I have more space to walk around. I have a rolling wire shelf I need to get rid of so I have to find places to store all the stuff I have sitting on that haha. I just need a bigger garage I think, that'd solve the problem. :) I think that's what you've become really good at... finding ways to store away stuff and make space. Vertical storage and wall usage is the way to go.
@RADGarage3 жыл бұрын
The dehumidifier is essential. It’s not as big of a deal when the weather is nice, because on nice days I just open the door and the humidity level equalizes, but in winter that’s not always the case. I like looking for garage solutions everywhere I go. The kitchen section at IKEA was my favourite.

It only took me 6 to 8 months of begging for a garage tour but it was worth it !!!! So jealous of your garage brother. My garage is lit up so much that local police stopped by to see if I was growing " things" ...lol Got a Audi question for you. I love the mercedes-benz E63s 4matic plus....but thinking about a Rs7....your thoughts 🤔...much respect buddy
@RADGarage3 жыл бұрын
Hey Matt! I haven’t had any visits from the “POPO”...yet! I don’t think you could go wrong with either car. I was super impressed by the white E63S I detailed a few years ago. I got to drive it and it was probably the best drive I’ve ever had. I haven’t ever been in or driven an RS7 though.

Awesome garage! Where can I get a carpet top for my workbench? Right now mine has a wood top and you can see every scratch 😢
@RADGarage9 ай бұрын
Thanks for your kind words about my garage. The carpet you see on my work surfaces is just low-pile industrial carpet you find at big box stores. Nothing fancy but it does help me maintain a cleaner looking space.

Beautiful information…. Thank you so much for making video like this for us … very helpful Just one question :- where did u buy those steel shelves…..
@RADGarage3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Gary. All of the shelving components you see in my garage apart from the new one I have to support my pressure washer, is from Ikea. I am not sure these exact components are still offered at Ikea, but that's where they all came from.

Hi. Can you provide more details surrounding the carpet materials used to cover your workbench? The garage looks amazing. Thank you
@RADGarage8 ай бұрын
Thanks so much. I bought many linear feet of industrial pile carpet from Home Depot and just cut it to fit each of my worktops. Nothing fancy or expensive.

Awesome workspace! You mentioned you added 4' to the width along the side. Just wondering, what is the width of the total garage? Do you ever run into issues spraying, foaming, or otherwise getting things wet by washing inside the garage? Looking to build out a garage and just trying to plan accordingly. Thanks!
@RADGarage2 жыл бұрын
There is a ton of info about the layout on my website. Check out the "build" page at www.radgarage.ca. I am pretty good at angling my water when washing so as to not get water on any walls. It's a little tough at the back, but water just bounces off my garage door. I wipe it down every so often, but other than that, it is working out well for me.

Great video and awesome job! Garage is set up perfect! Just curious, what do you have your AR setting on top of? Looks like styrofoam? Did it deaden the sound or vibration? Where did you get it from? Awesome job!
@RADGarage3 жыл бұрын
I had a few extra pieces of the Kaizen foam I used to line a few drawers with. They do reduce the vibration that goes through the shelf into the wall. I might buy a bigger piece at some point, but for now these two pieces seem to be doing the job!

Hello, King, at the car wash When we put ceramics on the car How long do we wait for it to dry Should it be placed under a heat dryer or not How long does the minimum period of its validity remain on the car in order to protect it? Thank you
@RADGarage3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Heat lamps speed up the curing process but the coatings will dry without them. Each coating will come with specific instructions on how long to wait between coats. Additional coats of MOHS can be applied after an hour. It really just comes down to following the application instructions. I am hoping to get a year or two out of this coating before applying a fresh one. Some places, you could probably go 3-5 years, it really just comes down to what conditions you car faces where you live.
