I think the fact that T-Mobile phone is included, actually ages really well. It's a staple of the times, before everything (phones included) got homogenized. Makes "skate." a "timepiece", a true classic.

I still go back and play the older THPS games, so good. I ran through the career mode for underground right before THPS 1+2 came out, still holds up. Eric Sparrow still sucks, too.

Dude omggggg that combo was so fucking hard 😂 it took me probably 45 tries. I was so excited because it was Rob&Bigs challenge. After the 20th try I built up a slight hatred for Rob Dyrdek in the game 🤣 it all went away after finally nailing it though. Man Skate and Skate3 were definitely my favorites. And the 1st skate is still the only game I know of that had a regular version of a song, and then a chopped and screwed version 😂 which, being from Houston, I greatly appreciated. 2 was still good, but the maps in 1&3 were absolutely perfect. The whole “create a spot” function was so rad. Could drag around anything you wanted, and I did it to recreate spots I went to all the time. Love the content so much man. It’s such a massive flashback of nostalgia in every video. Can’t wait to see what you got planned for future videos man 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 definitely got me subbed and notifications set for all

When this first came out, I hadn't had a console in years and pretty much lost interest in video games. But, I used to be obsessed with the Tony Hawk games(especially Underground I, my favorite) and also did the stat lowering for more realism. Also, skateboarding was my life at one point. Anyway, my buddy had gotten a PS3 for Christmas one year and got Skate. I hadn't even heard of it. When he threw that shit on, it absolutely blew my mind. I remember him crashing and me staying up literally all night until daylight playing it and trying to master the controls.

Skate was a masterpiece but I was so excited to hear you touch on the fact that the animations in the gameplay shown in Rob and Big definitely wasn't the same as in the released version. It was so fluid for a Xbox360 prealfa/beta! It bugs me to this day that they went with the flatter flip animations and stiffer player movement than the ones shown in that clip.

While I only MTB in my ripe age of 30, I loved being a part of the skateboarding scene at what I think was it’s peak. EA Skate came out when I was a Junior in high school, and we were all obsessed. Those were some good times. Watching some of your videos that include the skateboarding scene in the mid-ish 2000’s has made me incredibly nostalgic, and almost makes me want to get back on a board… but things hurt worse now, and dirt is more forgiving than concrete 😂
