the crazy vocals at the beginning of "Like Spinning Plates" is actually Thom singing/recording the lines normally, reversing them on tape to hear what they sound like backwards, learning how to sing it backwards,. they then recorded him singing it 'backwards', then reversing the tape to get what you hear on the record. WHAT? YES THATS ACTUALLY TRUE

add king of limbs & i completely agree 100%
@johnjungkook272110 күн бұрын
King of Limbs is also underrated as hell. This is blasphemous to say, but for my personal taste I'd take KOL over half of the songs in Ok Computer. I love Airbag, Lucky, No Surprises and Karma Police, but I'd take any song from KOL over the rest. OK Computer is more important for the culture but KOL is more interesting to me.
@andoni3506 күн бұрын
@@johnjungkook2721 honestly I agree esp w the aged tracklist of OK Computer although I can't withhold mentioning how much Let Down carries me. I have to take HTTT and KOL over a lot of the other albums bc of cohesive atmosphere but there is gold wherever focus falls

Another awesome reaction - enjoyed them since the firt - you are MORE RIGHT than you know - live Radiohead is an entire whole nother thing....in all the best ways. "In Rainbows: Live From the Basement" is an all time legendary live show in Rock history, forget about jusr Radiohead's stuff. They are just hanging out in a basemtn studio and it is completely mind blowing, to me, mt favorite Radiohead moment out of the entire Band journey. It also seemingly has no issue with blocking n YT as there a ton of reactions to it. Watching the 5 guys recreate the seemingly impossible sonic soundscapes and musical landscapes with no tricks, it is earth's 8th wonder to watch (ok that is takin it to far...hmmm....maybe.) You ought to do it, you would absolutely love it - but any of the top live concerts for any of these albums they are as good as it gets if not the best. Look up "You and Whose Army Live at the Gorge 2001" - it is everything you could want in that live version and more, so much more! And yes, Pablo Honey was a first album and the Label pressured them to push out a version of British grunge/indie rock, which for the time it was actually a much liked album (as somone in High School back then) and while a lot of the songs are kind of easy alt/rock early 90s stuff, not at the level of what followed it is NOT terrible - most fans who say that have NEVER LISTENED to it, bet you 100 bucks. I can think of 5 tunes (out of what, 12 or so - to me - certifiable Radiohead early bangers. The opener and the closer are sick - Creep is there, and they have a couple more solid songs I don't care what anyoone says. Review it for sure!

One of the craziest things about Radiohead is how many fantastic b-sides and non-album tracks they have. It's unheard of for a major band like them to leave so many really good tracks off their albums, but Thom is so insanely picky about track listing that they just left them off the records instead of making a money grab and releasing a few more records. When you finish all the studio albums we'll help you with a list of some great tunes you still haven't heard.
