It's partly because they genuinely see themselves far superior than their victims in intellect (who are often senile and mentally debilitated), so when Kit plays a dumb character they hop on the easy chance to prove it. When they fail, the smug facade fades away and insecurity kicks in. 'HUH? HOW IS THIS MARK NOT FALLING FOR IT??? I'M A GENIUS!!!' Of course they thought they could succeed even with all odds stacked against them. Funnier yet, if Kit had revealed, you know they'd boldly claim to have 'known all along'.

One of the things that pisses me off the most about these scams is how fuckn rude they are. Talking over their nonsense was so freaking catartic to me. As an Indian who grew up in the indian education system, the way these scammers act and talk remind me exactly of how a lot of teachers from a certain generation act and talk. The "Just do what i say!", and "shut up, idiot" gave me literal PTSD flashbacks to my school days. Younger, newer teachers and teachers on the far older side are often kind and professional. Its often the 40-50 year olds who are absolutely horrible. And a lot of these scammers would have been raised under those teachers tutelage. These scammers aren't just terrible people. @@lynnkayee1015one case I've seen. They just call from a any number making it look like a random emergency (minor car damage) use some voice trained AI to make it look like its you and you are intoxicated, and then they just get the "phone handed over to the scammer who plays the aggravated driver who just sniffed the liquor and is calling now unless you give enough to "make it right" That's why you make a keyword to share with your family.

Last weekend my caretaker (I'm disabled) had her "babydaddy" who just got out of prison break into my apartment and steal my purse while I was here. I didn't even know he was in my apartment. It was so fast. He spent 3/4 or my money - fancy hotel, fancy dinner, a metric shit ton of tobacco, snd a bunch of useless shit. No trips to Target for warm milk and blankets for his son, that's for sure. They found him two days later. He's being charged with 1st degree Felony Theft. I needed to laugh. This was the first time I laugh-laughed all week. Keep sticking it to the bastards, Kit!

@@The-Doctor6969 Well, that's a great question. It's actually been very difficult to get in touch with the investigator handling my case, however she has explained everything to my property manager, and the investigator at the agency where the caretaker worked. However, my property manager and the agency investigator couldn't tell me, even though they both knew. My property manager said he couldn't say anything because, "it's an on-going investigation," but I think it's for liability reasons. The agency investigator couldn't tell me because it involved one of their, "current or former" employees, though he could tell me that she is a "FORMER" employee, and that she's had her license taken away. She's also been put on a list with the state that she can't work with any disabled people, children, elderly, or vulnerable adults. So basically, she'll only be able to work in hard labor or fast food. But I don't know if she got charged. I'm guessing she did, however the investigator hasn't called me back in several days and I leave one message a day. It's stuff like that that gives the police a bad name... ignoring the victim who is disabled, frightened, and needs closure, but telling EVERYONE ELSE. Makes me upset. 🥺
