I found this test to be very interesting; i agree that a lot of classes are forced to sacrifice stats for SP Regen, outside of blue pots. However its also important to consider that overall dps excludes utility situational skills for the different game modes (pvp/woe/mvp, etc,...). Makes me reconsider what i feel are the most impactful classes could be in classic.

I believe that this is a good excercise to understand better the jobs, but some of the cases are unrealistic. I see a problem with low dex and hit, and not enough survivality (flee and hp), numbers that need to be tuned and will completely change the outcome in a in-game scenario. Im a sage guy, and the hybrid sage has no hp and not enough flee to survive in any endgame place, and almost all of the characters will be 1hko'd by most of the mvps and high lvl mob skills.

Something about the Battlesmith: I think the 4-card battle axe really does it a disservice. Because of power maximize, they get significantly more value out of higher attack weapons compared to most other classes (besides archer classes). Also DD sin is wayyy further ahead in reality with a proper card setup. A setup with 4 racial OH + 2 size/element or any combination damascus, etc. yields significantly stronger results. I did the exact DD sin setup in the calculator and ended up at 2202 DPS. Optimized with just better cards (no endow), just a gladius w/ 3 size and Main Gauche with 4 racial, DPS jumps up to 2648. So I'm not exactly sure how this test ended up with 2870. Also Standard Agi Str Katars use a sidewinder card for AA. It increases their AA damage by almost 50% with a 2 slotted katar.

I completely agree, also you may have noticed all builds in this test doesn't have the same level of gears... like... in the first tests we alsmost never have marionette doll, so it is not fully opti. Also for this specific target you could probably go with a no dex build on a BS. I'm not 100% sure than a weapon with higher attack and less slots would impact that significantly the dps, but it is possible. Here i use 'decent' all around weapons and plus or less the same (as much slots as possible and 4 size), but clearly the DD sin is the one who benefit the most from dedicated weapons. They can even go with 3*3*2 weapons (3 races in one hand, 1 size ; 3 elements in second hand, 1 size). I don't need to convince you because you are the one who notice it, but if someone want to make one of the AA build, he should use a simulator and stay open to all possibilities of weapon, and also consider all the strengh and weakness of the class to estimate the true dps : the cruz walk faster and have more range, he will start dps before others, the hunter doesn't even need to walk, etc.
