I’m not sure that this is canon at all. If it was, how could this and the Division be happening at the same time? Because in that game it says the dollar flu is happening around the U.S, so this capsule and starting this “outbreak” so-to-speak would bring a whole new variable into the mix. blue griffen Apparently from what I’m assuming, the soviets from around the Cold War era and the space race era (probably around the 1960s) found this extraterrestrial organism which turned out to be an alien parasite which takes over the host it infects (think of it like the symbiote from the spider man universe or the fungi parasite from The last of us) and captured it however it must of entered earth’s atmosphere and crashed into New Mexico, United States soil and the guy in the first cinematic must’ve towed it to his place where he was gonna sell it online (probably towards modern Russia) however it must have broken containment and started spreading like a wildfire until 7 days after however that’s just my theory
