Contrary to popular belief, each manufacturer has their issues and most are expensive to fix. Overall, based on CR evaluation of data and user ratings Ram is better than Ford in terms of reliability. Ford is below average while Ram is average. Look at a similar video for Ford and GM, and you will get introduced to their “problems.”

Tick Tick Tick...the Hemi engine is a ticking time bomb if you tend to let it idle frequently...RAM needs to fix the lack of oil lube to the lifters (over a decade old issue). The exhaust manifolds are still breaking the studs off in the block. Owners of a RAM may want to consider upgrading the manifolds before the studs start breaking. For shame on RAM for not using better stock manifolds.

My 2015 ram and my current 2021 ram would be great if they came with umbrellas. Gen 4 and Gen 5 developed leaks from the rear glass seals. Nothing like spending 50k plus for a truck that’s going to have water leaking into within two to three years. Mold everywhere at no extra cost.
@murphy251324 күн бұрын
I own a 2019 ram 1500 bighorn crew cab. I really like the truck however it has had issues from day one. I originally thought the issues were due to having one of the first gen 5's but some of the problems seem to be inherent to older rams as well. Here's a list of what I can remember. 1. Active noise canceling (software issue, 2 years to get correct update) 2. Exhaust pipe separating from muffler (3 times) 3. Led fog light dead at 6 months. $160 and a pain to replace. 4. Plastic gear in power side mirror stripped. Not repairable, 1k for new mirror. 5. Rear window seal leak. Stylantis approved repair after 2 years. 6. Heater core leaking at 60k. $2k repair as the dash and center console had to be removed. 7. 4wd engagement mechanism at front pass hub came apart. 3 times to dealer to get repair right. 8. Starter dead at 60k. 9. Exhaust manifold bolts replaced at 70k due to breaking. 10. Anti glare coating started coming off 8.4 inch display around 30k. Heater core, starter, exhaust manifold, fog light I paid for. Stylantis said these were not common issues. Anti glare screen, I just removed the rest of it. Bought a new truck to try and avoid these types of issues. Trucks at 72k now, I'm 56 years old and have owned many cars and trucks. None have had as many issues as this truck. For the record, trucks never left pavement, and I don't beat on it in any way. It gets all of its maintenance on time. I love the truck but it has had constant issues.
