Thanks for the review. Now I guess I gotta go with Fox 2.5 for my 2022 RAM Rebel

Haha we love the Fox 2.5 DSC and run it on our own rigs. It's a solid choice if you want to be quite capable while off-roading.

Did he say the eco diesel came out in 2020 @3:43? I have the Bilstiens.. set at the level height on a 2018 ED 1500. The truck came from the factory with 20inch rims, and it rides like stagecoach. We actually removed our front bucket seats and installed a buckboard.

That would be correct. The released the EcoDiesel 5th gen Ram 1500 DT in 2020.

Excellent video. Thank you for taking the time to explain so much. I have a 2019 ram 1500 classic ecodiesel 4th gen. Do you sell the fox 2.5 for that?
Hey all. Thanks for the review! I'm looking to add a leveling shock to my 2017 ram 1500 ecodiesel. Previous owner added leveling blocks to the front and the ride is horrible. I do not do to much off-roading but do pull a travel trailer fairly often. I was wondering if the Fox 2.0 would have a spring heavy enough to accommodate the diesel? Also, was hoping to stay under $1000 and was wondering what your suggestion might be for the above mentioned use? Thanks for your time!

Eibach is a softer ride, but bilstein is cheaper and still pretty good. Fox is the best but pretty expensive.

Im currently running the bilstein 6112 setup on my 2020 Ram 1500. I have it set on the max level height. I feel as they are way too bumpy on the road with any little holes or bumps on the road. Will the eibach setup be any better for on road performance?
@ShockSurplus Жыл бұрын
Yup the Eibachs are definitely softer than the Bilsteins are for sure.

Whats the best set up for a 2WD 4th gen 1500?? I’ve been trying to do some research on what’s best for it. I dont want to go crazy and do an off-roading kit. I just want a simple 1”-2” lift with a nice comfortable suspension kit. But because I have a 2WD, so my options are kinda dwindled. Still looking for a good set or a opinion. Please give me your inputs.

Do you guys offer the Fox 2.5 elite 3” lift kit for 22 RAM EcoDiesel? No matter where I search, it states that it “does not fit RAM EcoDiesel.” Thanks
@ShockSurplus9 ай бұрын
Although Fox does not technically have an EcoDiesel spec part on the DT generation Rams like yours, they did on the previous DS generation with the only difference being a 50 lb/in bump in rate between the two. So although we do not officially have an EcoDiesel part from Fox, we offer the option to pop up in spring rate on the diesels through the following listing www.shocksurplus.com/products/fox-2-5-coilovers-shocks-lift-system-2019-ram-1500-4wd

I don’t off-road much with my 2021 Rebel, but I put a set of 33’s that are a little bigger than the stock duratracs and a little more offset on my new setup. Now I want to level the truck out so am trying to decide which route to take. Was considering just throwing on some 5100’s all around and using stock coils to get it leveled. Would the Eibachs be more comfy than the 5100’s for mostly road driving? We also have super rough roads around here.

Is it not ok to add a spacer to a coilover if axle angle and uca are ok?
@ShockSurplus10 ай бұрын
Technically you can as long as bind at either point does not occur however it is highly unlikely you will be able to run an aftermarket ride height adjustable coilover or strut with a spacer without bind since they are all generally longer than stock

How will new coil overs effect the height outcome with factory raised ride height on a 2016 outdoorsman with the Ecodiesel ? I’m currently clearing 295/65r20 = 35x11.60 on factory 20x8.
@ShockSurplus Жыл бұрын
Coilovers are generally adjustable from stock height or close to it to as high as 3" of lift. If you have an existing spacer lift that will have to removed and you will recieve however much lift the front coilovers are preset for. If you are at 2" of lift with a spacer or something else now and you replace it with a coilover that does 2" of lift, your tire fitment should be the same.

Opinions on the Ironman 4x4 pro cell foam?
@ShockSurplus Жыл бұрын
They definitely are not bad, and we love their springs but there are a lot of options for struts, coilovers, or shocks that are similarly priced and give you a lot more for your money. We had a set on our Xterra for a little over a year and although never bad, and showed a few promising moments, they definitely left a lot to be desired and began to show some signs of giving up the ghost long before we took them off. With that said they do a great job of putting together complete packages with parts that mesh well together, and I would recommend their coil and leaf springs to anybody.
