Just as an Addition: This song was one of the singles from their Album "Reise Reise" back in 2005. Its meant to show how the success and all of that made them fat, passionless, emotionally disconnected and that they actually don`t want to bring out new songs or an album at all in a sarcastic way which is demonstrated and also contrasted by their passion and movement while performing of the song vs before and after it. I love this song! It's a reminder that Rammstein having so much doesn't fall in self indulgency and routine as well as a criticism of artists that sold their Art for cash. "Lust" in German isn't desire only related to sex but to everything. So saying you "Ich habe keine lust = I don't feel any desire", can mean you have no desire to do anything: working out, talking, singing, making friends, thinking, loving. You want nothing at all; like you were sucked off the will to live. As Till sings "Mir ist kalt = I'm cold".

The video shows rich people who has everything but as a side effect everything has lost its meaning and doesn't make them feel anything anymore, I guess except rocking out together in secret. :) The verses and the chorus are about everything he has no desire to do anymore ('Ich habt keine lust' roughly means 'I have no desire'...) and in the slow part he sings about how cold he has become inside (So kallt, mir ist kallt = So cold, I am cold).

The song is about self-hatred, obesity, medication, etc. no longer wanting for example. Having sex no matter how sexy and attractive a woman is. Those fat suits are amazing, they most have been very hot. I think the band started using pyrotechnics in the live shows to take the attention off Till, as he's not very comfortable on stage in front of crowds. He seems to be more animated and have fun in the videos though.

That's exactly it. He has stage fright (noticable in how he never looks at the crowd) and takes some of the focus off with the pyro.

Also don't forget to factor in he's younger here. He's 57 now and no matter how much your heart may sing for you to jam out - the body is not always willing as it once was. As a performer you have to pace yourself, find the balance of what you can do night after night.

He still goes on stage with Rammstein and Lindemann, so he has my respect for that. Although most of the other band members are also in their 50's now, the youngest is Oliver Riedel who is 49.

Keine schlechte Idee mit dem Index, aber dann gebe es auch andere Lieder (auch von Rammstein) die zensiert gesungen werden müssten, Beispiele: "Mutter" = "keine Nippel lecken" oder "Ich tu dir weh" = "und führ' dir Nagetiere ein" etc. Onanieren ist für mich kein Index-würdiges Wort, aber letztendlich könnte das nur Till beantworten. Ich wollte nur wissen, ob ich RICHTIG höre oder einen Gehörschaden habe. LOL.
