FYI, the "L" was added to the bike and advertised in magazines as one of the new Suzuki "Low Slingers." They had pull-back handle bars, tear-drop tank, plush-stepped seat, and chopper-style megaphone exhaust pipes and more. So easy to ride when I owned a new one back in '81. A friend of mine had one and I bought the same model in dark burgundy red. Loved it for 30,000 miles!

I payed $200 for the bike and I spent about $700 in parts: front tire, brake seals, fork seals, fluids, cleaners, de-greaser, rust removers, paint, carb rebuild kits, new sprockets and chain, new brake master cylinder, epoxy seal for inside of gas tank, windshield some other minor stuff (bolts, screws, gaskets). I ordered some stuff from eBay; others I got directly. The bike sat for 30 years with 4100 total miles in a garage but had all original parts of which most where in very good condition. I got lucky.
