So fitting for the channel. Billy was such an influence on VH and even Pantera.

One of the things I always liked about Billy's playing, is the way it seems so effortless. You never see him straining. It's just smooth as glass. Cool as a frosty mug.

Marty. Clearly you are a great player, but two things really set your channel apart (for me anyway). An ability to teach, and an abundance of humility. Keep it coming.

Excellent lesson Marty! Very cool of you to show your Tonex settings, and how cool is Pro Tools... Your guitar Peaches knows how to sing! ZZ Top and Billy Gibbons, wow... 😮🎸

I've been a disciple of Reverend Willy for a LONG time, really enjoyed this one. When I play this one at family's and friend's houses, I use a Plexi model in my small travel amp. when I play it at home, I floor my 120 watt tube amp and the neighborhood gets to hear it! I also use my 1950s spec Gibson Les Paul Standard ... Thanks for all you do! Rock On🎸🤟🎸

great video man, but you missed one of the most common billy parts...the squills...the pinch harmonics...super important to learn when you are playing almost any zz tune. But i do love the video and great info to have in the bag. Thank you sir.

I was quite shocked to see the ToneX on your board. I thought you were a tube amp purest 😉 I must admit the ToneX didn’t do it for me. I have a Kemper head (toaster) instead and have never been happier. No more blown tubes…
@Ranch5150SkinWalker7 ай бұрын
I still use tube amps live unless I'm playing at church or at a corporate even, then I use my fractal. I use the fractal and the tone X for KZbin content because it is so consistent and easy to produce with. Recently I have partnered with IK Media and they have been Working with me and providing models and updates for the tone X so I can demonstrate it to my viewers.

I gotta correct you on something. He doesn’t alternate the thumb and finger on that alternating G-Bb lick. He picks the G sliding into it and lets it ring then with his middle finger plucks the Bb and mutes it, allowing the G to continue ringing and plucks the Bb again, mute, pluck
