If your Husqvarna leaks where the hose exits the fuel tank, try to pull it a little bit out of the tank and see if it still leaks. I did that on mine and it started to seal again. I think this is a good tip and you don’t have to replace the fuel line.

Model airplane flyers have been using Tygon and other types of fuel line for years in order to burn the methanol fuel. You might try one of the online hobby shops like Horizon Hobby King.

Beware of yellow line that doesn't say Tygon! You'll be mumblin' under your breath a lot if you use it. Also some Echo models use the pig's tail line. Echo sells fuel line in bulk & in different OD/ID as does Stihl.

You know...this is a great video and hammering this detail, but in fact a very important issue we ALL deal with. Every saw has one. And when freshening up a saw we all want to replace one. What I have found as well is some of the AM stuff swells & degrades faster over time than what I get from the dealers (OEM). So in this case I really haven't found a good AM option that I would put in someone else's saw Thank you, Love the focus on this.

Strange that the manufacturers have not figured out that they need to install better fuel line that will tolerate a little alcohol. Maybe they want to sell customers that "special" $20.00 per gallon gas. ?

On my Husky, I opened up the hole and use a rubber grommet. I don't let little things like this get the best of me, I make the shit work for me. I have done this to all my saws. grommets are like 2 bucks for 10, just figure out what size your willing to go. us a little oil on the tubing and it slides right through and will not leak.

Thanks for sharing. I have exactly the same dilemmas. There are obviously errors on ereplacementparts website as well as on parts tree.. please consider part known as connector part number 53709 9301 installed into this squigkly {spiral} hose terminated righte at the tank hole and by expanding the o d would make it seal well against the tanke hole. and of course then use a short fuel hose to connect that fitting mentioned above to the carburetor. It is just a thought.., since I do struggle with fuel leaking saws for a while

Own a 141. Really do kinda hate the leaky bastard after some years now. Mostly seasonal. About a tank. Sometimes do some disc golf park half day work with it. The fuel line is not in the friendly of places. And for the sir in the video. Nobody wants 100' rubber/plastic/ vacuum lines with the shelf life they have. 50' maybe for the pro mechanics.. ANYWAYS, after tearing this thing apart so it will lubricate itself once again. I should of just bought a used stihl brand. Or Poulan .. I reccomend you empty these husqvarna from all lubrications after ever use. I Use stihl HP ultra engine oil with 100% 87 fuel in all small motors used for non racing. I honestly believe your waisting money with higher grade. These motors are not 9:1+ compression motors that demand higher octane. When I raced go karts 5hp motor maxed 18.5 hp when built. Super flat milled heads. Loved the 100LL AV gas. Or pure Alcohol. Just my 2 cents on fuel. And because own one, husqvarna sucks. Avoid that section at home depot and go to your local guy.

+Matthew Olson I like Tygon I get it in the 2 main sizes .80 x 1.40 and the 3/32 x 3/16 The 1/4 in. is oddball but I have it when I need it. Plus the Tygon is only about 60 cents a foot. It doesn't breakdown either like some OEM lines. MTD products are bad for that. I see a lot of that since MTD makes almost every weed whacker made.

@Lawiah08 жыл бұрын
I think if you check, the Fuel line hole in that 350 tank will be sightly under-sized for the 7/32" OD (.216) Fuel Line; this creates the seal. Personally, Neoprene Fuel Line would be preferred over pure Rubber, offering the same "flexible seal" with almost unlimited protection from UV and Chemicals. This is a great Topic, and one that people have been paying a lot to fix and trouble-shoot.
