If Corsair can recreate this keyboard ALONGSIDE Everest which means Elgato X Corsair X Everest, this means the keyboard will be 10000X better and hopefully everything will be permanently connected as much as I love customization I just want the indicator LEDs on the keyboard and the dedicated media keys along with the wheel on the right side of the board, better yet put the dedicated media controls on the right along with a separate volume scroll wheel and then on the way left the wheel with the amazing tactile feedback

NoahB3ll There are other companies out there who offer a fraction of what Everest gives for the same price point. A good example is the Apex Pro, the thing is expensive, the LED screen is pretty small and underutilized, and the cable is undetachable.

It's funny, this keyboard was being advertised to me on Facebook for like a month straight. I kept commenting "I'd buy it for $200, maybe $225, but $270 is steep". DMd them asking if they'd provide a coupon code. They said they didn't have any at the moment. So I just went and bought it at $270. 😂 Excited for it to arrive. Ordered on the 5th of July! Ironically, I didn't watch any reviews before purchasing. I just saw its features and was pumped. Something I learned from this video (and was desperately hoping it included) was that it has usb pass through. That's awesome! The website didn't say that, and I have a 3 port hub attached to my current KB for my g502, ES2 xbox controller, and my g635.

Yep, I'm one of the backers who got the max version & I got it for this exact reason, a lot of the time I didn't want the numpad (or if I did, I wanted it on the left side), so this detachable version is incredible!

Okay so here we go, I'm going to try to keep this as short as possible: This keyboard is AMAZING, so glad they are doing this, this is EVERYTHING we wanted from the Corsair K100 and MORE. Complaints about this keyboard are for me first of all the detachable numpad, I get some people don't like it and that's fine, however I think they should make another version where the numpad is fully attached, that will make it a bit smaller as well, remove that pattern by the keys which you already said, they need to add dedicated macro keys such as on the Corsair K100 you got G1-G6. I like those and think they should do that, the dedicated media controls are amazing along with the rest of that unit, I will say though I also wish there was a version with it just permanently there in the top right corner or something and the back be a little raised up, the RGB a little brighter and fix the problem with the pure white not being able to show on this because I love that color, the wrist rest would obviously be the full length of the keyboard, and everything else is amazing, I hope to see Corsair do EXACTLY this in the future at a good price and I will easily buy that, another big thing here is only ONE cable with a USB passthrough, that is amazing and needs to be done, it's almost 2021 come on companies

I received mine yesterday, and I would like to point out that my stabilizers did come lubed, but they did not come clipped. I don't know if this is an inconsistency in QA, but I wanted to point that out so that people make sure to check in case they notice their stabs are still a little noisy. Also worth noting that the silver ESC key is still plastic, not metal. Otherwise love the board.

deal-breakers for me: 1. north-facing LED switch orientation (cherry profile keycaps will having housing-top interference on middle rows) 2. 3-pin hot-swap versus 5-pin majority (do I want to clip all my 5-pin switches for all other hot-swap just for this one?) (3. QMK compatibility) plus: it will be substantially more attractive if it is a high profile design.

This looks fantastic and puts most of my pre order fears to bed. However, I would make two slight criticisms: 1 The numbpad connection. Why magnets? When I saw the prototype I mistakenly thought that they were using pins and honestly I cannot work out why they haven't. Pins would have provided a far more secure and durable connection, drastically reducing the wobble and eliminating the risk of damage to the USB C connection. 2 The backplate design What the hell is that wired milled pattern?! the faceplate is gorgeous brushed aluminium why on earth wouldn't you use that over the horrible milled design they have gone with for the backplate? On the plus side it doesn't show up too clearly but its a disgusting sore on what is otherwise a beautiful design. There is also the problem of using RGB LEDs rather than RGBW ones but seeing as almost every keyboard has this problem I'll give them a pass. Especially as they have lubed and clipped the stabilisers which is utterly fantastic and I wish more companies would do.

I have the everest max. Love it. Only real gripe is that you can't add effects to the leds in custom mode. It's either on or off. Also for the lighting modes such as breathe, matrix etc, you can't turn on the surround leds.
