This seems like the future of keyboards. The type C is also the future, although perhaps more expensive!
@RyTrapp04 жыл бұрын
So far, type C has been a shit show with the phones I've had. Charging problems MUCH sooner than with old micro-B equipped phones. At least with micro-B, the cable is what needed replacing first; but the female connector has been the problem with type-C. I've also seen other devices with type-C connectors that had gotten deformed, where I've never seen that before with micro-B(or most every other connector type for that matter). For all the overblown hype we've heard for years, I can't say my life has benefitted from type-C. Maybe the "luxury" of it being symmetrical instead of asymmetrical? It's not like it magically reduced the number of connectors & cables in my life - actually, it just added yet another set because I didn't just throw away everything that wasn't type-C when it came in. I actually bought into the hype too, believed that they were actually going to design a "better" connector - but I'm sure everyone believed that when the previous interfaces(that we now criticize) were introduced too...
@ahmedaihammuththalib57294 жыл бұрын
Type-C is still ramping production, this means a trickle down effect of lowered prices as it is more prolifically used. The fact that usb c has better specs, is smaller allowing smaller space for the usb slot, reversible and all that stuff, usb c is just SWEET. It might take a few years for it to start being even more widely adapted

Okay so here we go, I'm going to try to keep this as short as possible: This keyboard is AMAZING, so glad they are doing this, this is EVERYTHING we wanted from the Corsair K100 and MORE. Complaints about this keyboard are for me first of all the detachable numpad, I get some people don't like it and that's fine, however I think they should make another version where the numpad is fully attached, that will make it a bit smaller as well, remove that pattern by the keys which you already said, they need to add dedicated macro keys such as on the Corsair K100 you got G1-G6. I like those and think they should do that, the dedicated media controls are amazing along with the rest of that unit, I will say though I also wish there was a version with it just permanently there in the top right corner or something and the back be a little raised up, the RGB a little brighter and fix the problem with the pure white not being able to show on this because I love that color, the wrist rest would obviously be the full length of the keyboard, and everything else is amazing, I hope to see Corsair do EXACTLY this in the future at a good price and I will easily buy that, another big thing here is only ONE cable with a USB passthrough, that is amazing and needs to be done, it's almost 2021 come on companies

I think they could have gone further with modularity in having the arrow, home keys etc in another module or using another, more compact layout such as 75% for the base unit. I suspect that Chinese manufacturers may take the idea and go further with it, especially as they would go with open source software.

Numpad on the left side. That's how keyboards should have been to begin. Really love how this keyboard gives you the flexibility to have it however you want.

I love the possibility of plugging the numpad on the left, it's ideal for some games where I wish I had slightly better mouse area but I need the numpad for controls. War Thunder RB comes to mind specially. Where I have engine controls on the numpad, and releasing the mouse to adjust them is risky.

A step in the right direction, but for many games (space sims for example) more keys with a small programmable screen would be better.

It would really be nice if they offer the numpad as a standalone piece for people with TKL or smaller keyboards that occasionally need a numpad. Right now they're only offering it as an accessory that requires the base keyboard to function.

I haven't been this excited (no actually I haven't been excited at all!) about a new mechanical keyboard in years! This is everything I've ever wanted in a keyboard, and more!

So essentially what Corsair should have released with the K100. That ICue button dial is mind boggling. Why would anyone need access to that on the fly. Great job

I wonder how many people will use that dial to change scenes in OBS or integrate it with streamlabs.

Did not expect to like this, but it is a pretty cool idea and execution by the look of it. Nice to be able to have a numpad for the rare times I use one, but get it out of the way for most of the time when I don't.

That’s a really nice bit of kit. I agree with you that there is so much potential with that dial screen.

They need to release a trackpad module. Next revision add a notched frame to the dial or improve the rotary encoder mechanism. Then, add places to customize the tilt of the board in different directions (similar to the Dygma Raise) but with their magnet pods. Making it cross compatible will be really smart of them for customer loyalty.

I've been waiting so long for a detachable numpad which can be connected at the left Side of the keyboard (no second party stuff). Finally here it is!

This would make THE PERFECT streamer keyboard, those 4 screens on the num pad could be assigned to start stream, stop stream, scene change x2 The dial should be able to connect to OBS and show you in real time how many viewers you've got. What would I change? I think they should have a model that doesn't allow you to change switches, it's a good way to cut costs and to appeal to streamers who don't want to clutter up their desk with a stream deck/macro peripherals Not gonna lie they can become top tier if they do it correctly especially if they have frequent sales w/ bundles, AND I'll probably get one of these in the future without a doubt

I wonder if you can get dual character keycaps for this one. Since I speak 3 languages that also happen to use two different alphabets, it is kinda important to me.

I own a Razer huntsman elite , and this keyboard might be the only one I will switch to. 1- you can swap the switches man this is legendary feature it should be on every gaming keyboard, worst case I will try to find optical switches to match my huntsman elite feel and buy this keyboard so I didnt compromise on the feel nor the speed of these switches. 2- you can swap the numbed place which is Very annoying to me as I need the extra space the TKL provide but at the same time I cant buy TKL as I game + work on the same pc. 3- the wheel on top gave me the idea that they might release a screen similar to Elgato that will be amazing for streaming, recording even editing and workstation usages with custom logo keys/functions. 4- the ability to add things on the left side of the keyboard is another amazing idea, which I really hope they consider making tons of add-ons such as fan , display , huge touchpad like the Magic Trackpad "apple" also maybe go partner with Wacom make that amazing sketch tablet optional OR they dont need to because it is usb-c :D if there is a Wacom tablet that use usb-c then done its solved it will work already on the left side or right whatever you preferhhh its very awesome keyboard, they can add a numbed that is just like stream deck from Elgato, basically 9 screen buttons or 12 :) and you customize it , so you buy that add-on instead of the numpad if you stream. or they make a simple usb fan the possibilities are limitless to their modular design I really hope we see more add-ons that what will make this keyboard amazing.

Sweet product, does the keyboard care about which port is used? Could the numpad be connected to one of the type C ports on the top, for example? Also it would be cool if they had another module that is just a bunch of reprogrammable buttons for macros and stuff. Or maybe you could plug in a second numpad for macros.
