@@alanyoung5153 Yeah, I agree but..... The ones who oversee what "country music" gets played/promoted, are just as woke as the ones who oversee the dying film industry. They don't want soul affirming music or film, they want all entertainment to be (quite literally) robotic, ugly, and overtly sexual. But if you dig around a little, there's still some damn good country music being made. (it's just not being promoted😉).

Maybe no nakedness in his music and a story, but you should watch his own personal naked, drunken story of his own arrest video. He crashed his truck naked, got special treatment of sitting in the front of a cop car and then used is clout and entitlement for that special treatment while threatening an officer’s life. He was even praying that the cop would die a horrible death and telling the cop that he will die that day. The cop was calm the whole time. The video was released despite Travis trying to stop it. I love his music however, his behavior had put a different taste in my mouth.

43 years old, and this song puts tears in my eyes everytime I hear it. Sometimes in life, there’s a song that tells your story… This is that song. 16 years later, there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of her. Perhaps in the next life, we’ll find eachother and make it work. Everyday is a struggle, but I always manage to pull thru. For those who can relate to this song, my hearts with you… regret is a horrible thing to live with. God bless

I was a teenage mother and lost custody of my two daughters in 1985. When this song came out I cried to it. I wondered if my daughters would reject me after years of not being their mother. This song still breaks my heart. One daughter has accepted me into her life. The other has struggled to find a place for me. I love them both. This song brings it all back.

The first time I heard this songs I stopped what I was doing and stopped breathing. I thought about my last high school girl friend. The song still effects me to this day every time I hear it. That last high school girl friend is now my Second wife. We have been married 12 years. Aug 2024 now 17 years married. The I told you so part does not apply to us only the verses 1-4 The reason is we are in love with each other not just love each other. Also we are soulmates and for each of us the love of our lives.

Suppose I called you up tonight And told you that I love you And suppose I said I want to come back home And suppose I cried and said I think I finally learned my lesson And I'm tired of spending all my time alone If I told you that I realize You're all I ever wanted And it's killing me to be so far away Would you tell me that you love me too And would we cry together? Or would you simply laugh at me and say? I told you so, oh, I told you so I told you some day you'd come crawling back And asking me to take you in I told you so, but you had to go But now I've found somebody new And you will never break my heart in two again If I got down on my knees And told you I was yours forever Would you get down on yours too and take my hand? Would we get that old-time feeling? Would we laugh and talk for hours? The way we did when our love first began Would you tell me that you've missed me too? And that you've been so lonely And you've waited for the day that I return And we'd live and love forever And that I'm your one and only Or would you say the table's finally turned? Would you say I told you so, oh, I told you so I told you someday you'd come crawling back And asking me to take you in I told you so, but you had to go And now I've found somebody new And you will never break my heart in two again And now I've found somebody new And you will never break my heart in two again

Life is full of the lovely things like the morning sun, the gleaming dew drops, the sparkling rain, the vast blue sky, the whistles of chirping birds, the beauty of the sea. Hope you're doing great and in good health?
