Randy had a stroke some ten years ago. The song was produced with the aid of AI using vocals from the guy in the recording booth in the video and songs previously sung by Randy, as far as I understand it.

The amazing part is that this is not His voice. Technology allowed them to use hours of his previous recordings to replicate his voice with AI, which he sanctioned fully. He can barely speak so this opens a massive door for other artists who have actually passed away to make new, never heard songs with the sanction of their families. I think this was exceptionally good, and there are videos showing behind the scenes on how it was done. He's happy with it and so am I. 😃

Hei Josh, this song is so beautiful, he had stroke and lose his speech he can only say a free words,he still learning to go again, and this song use his voice from before he get ill and there is another guy that sing this song but they use his voice and words from old song, sorry that my enghlish is so bad but this song was made so difficult, thanks Josh for listen to and react to hugs from Norway 🤗🤗💞💞

They used AI and had the other artist sing the song, then Randy's road manager and recording company opened the vault of previous songs and took Randy's voice in words and overlaying previous lyrics with AI. AI was approved by Randy himself to try unlike those that's stealing voices of artist and actors without permission for financial gain. HINT: They're working on another new song, can't wait. His music carried me thru many miles trucking in the 80's 90's and early 20's.

Alcohol isn't what nearly killed him. He had a heart virus and flat lined. They believe his heart threw a clot when they got it started again. 😢

It's a song about missing "the one that got away." I don't know whether she left him or she died, but he's trying to move on but can't let go. I go into more detail in my own extended reaction.
