Based on this chart, a dangerously low blood pressure reading would be considered normal. I hate when charts don't take that into account, as low blood pressure can be just as bad as high blood pressure.

How often have they changed the acceptable blood pressure over the last few decades and more? Has it actually been proven to reduce heart attacks in those who have never had a heart attack before. Every time they did lower the bench mark, millions more were in the new “bad” bracket so contenders for even more big Pharma drugs.

Now discussing with friends, one Italian, one German, one from NZ and another Australian all aged 65-83 were told the same thing ie 100 plus your age. Is there any evidence in people who haven’t had a previous heart attack that they are really working.

They have no answer for you… that’s the frustrating part. And 10 years ago you’d be fine. Look up the switch the AHA did in 2017, anything under 140/90 didn’t need medication. All of a sudden you are in crisis after that change
