Just installed the Union Jack style tread plate on my 2016 SE (US Model). Super easy installation. I was able to pop out the original tread plates with my fingers/hand starting at the same corner as the video removal with tool. Nice upgrade. No wiring for illumination that I could see. Thanks Simon.

The connector is indeed on all the cars! I have a 2015 pure with the normal plastic plates and I found the connector below when I removed it.

It’s taped to the wiring harness under the carpet!

I’ve pulled up both plastic sills and can’t see a cable? Should it just be visible or is it tied up somewhere

My illuminated lights on the drivers side on my 2013 dynamic has stopped working, does the whole compartment need replacing or can you buy led strips/bulbs to put in? Would really appreciate your help. Cheers
