Mr Catchpole; I have long believed that hybrid technology belongs in vehicles exactly like the Range Rover and it's large American counterparts and similarly sized vehicles in the market. It came as a bit of a surprise that you and Carfection seem to agree or at least see the merit in such an application of the technology. Thank you for this and once again, keep up the great work. Sincerely A loyal viewer and subscriber

I thought the columns on the front of my house were impressive until I saw those, well that was emasculating. The new Range Rover is so nice, I much prefer it over the Bentayga. That center console in the back is crazy.

dude calm down its just a car its a well know fact that hybrids having 2 powertrain 2 sources of fuel means there more things to go wrong and battery are known to loss its charge just look at your smart phone after 2 year it drains the battery almost instantly even the prius have battery issue after a few years but then again range rover owner dont really give a shit most of this people only hold on to there cars for max 5 years that why the market is flooded with 10k s class
@b_mb49486 жыл бұрын
Well, at least there's only ~1 moving part in the "E" part of the system, so as long as you only run on EV mode the thing should last a thousand million years. Sadly not - the battery will give out 2 days after the warranty does *xD*

the hybrid luxury vehicles are god send for countries with high tax rates on petrol and diesal engines for example in sri lanka the range rover p400e autobiography is 35 million lkr about 224350usd from the dealer, and the range rover sport tdv6 is also 35 million lkr. the hybird option in the range rover isnt only for economy its to ensure sales in countires with high tax rates

@OverlandTT6 жыл бұрын
Russell It's not really 109mpg. It's the same with the Mitsubishi phev. That figure is based on the short test loop all new cars take. In the real world you be lucky to get a third of that, if for example you were driving to the south of France.

Range Rover's downside is electrical system, what can we expect from this new variant
@ChristianrnstrupRasmussen6 жыл бұрын
I saw this at Geneva and the rear leg room was simply horrific even with a normal average driver or co-pilot in the front. I don't see any use or luxurious feel about the 40 degree seat back declining or the footrest. It's just a gimmick.

🤣🤣🤣 Make sure the “pheasants” aren’t revolting... I actually like the concept of converting rigs like this to PHEV. The more utilitarian vehicles we can convert and reduce or eliminate petroleum usage from, the less we need to mess with Camaros and 911s and Ferraris. If everyone going in and out of the city was puttering around on electric power, it would be great for the enthusiast cars. Let’s stop wasting petrol on commuter and utility vehicles, save it for the sports/collector/enthusiast cars.

Dont get me wrong I like range rovers too, and its not hard to understand why. However reliability is a huge issue for me and i dont understand people who dont care for it.
@b_mb49486 жыл бұрын
I am the same, sort of... I don't mind if a car breaks down. Every car in history has had it's fair share of problems. What does frustrate me however, is when a car is so complicated you can't fix it when it goes wrong, leaving you stranded at the side of the road, at the mercy of the elements, and the AA driver who may or may not come to your rescue. Cars are becoming more and more like phones in the sense that when they break, you just throw them away and get another. It's actually quite sad.

RR PHEV SUCKS!! Read my nightmare with RR before buying one.New 2020 RR PHEV I bought 3 months ago from Official dealer in GA had orange engine light turned on when I came back home, still turned on after 3 times back to dealer service with changing different parts. Now has been at service 4th time for last month and they said that all this model cars in the world will be recalled for new hybride software that will be ready at the end of September 2020. 3 months after buying a new very expensive car, still stuck to service. Dealer said that JLR refused replacement because any car they replace will need the same software update all p400e models in the world will be recalled. JLR used my car as a lab to find a common defect but still not replaced or refunded.
