Win. That much range is perfectly acceptable for the vast majority of use cases. Okay, bitter cold day towing something big into a strong headwind uphill all the way for hundreds of miles, there are trucks one would rather have. Add in superior charging network, and probably the Cybertruck gets you there about as fast as the Rivian on a long road trip and faster than the Ford.

@USUG0 you forget 2 major differences. 1, the cybertruck temperature was 38-45F NOT 45 mostly around 42F a lot lower than the others. 2, the elevation the cybertruck was tested was 700ft compared to rivian and f150 at 4000ft with significant less dense air. Someone I know just took delivery 3 weeks ago. Flew into Houston for a meeting and dinner. He picked me up at 5:30, and we went for Sushi. The 35-minute drive was 7 minutes shorter than predicted because when people saw it in their mirrors, they parted ways to slow down and take pictures. It was like riding in an ambulance the way everyone moved over. So many cars with peoples faces are in wonder and surprise. People asked if it was a movie car. It was amusing, to say the least. My takeaway was, even though I am pretty aware of what tesla is doing, it surprises me how many people are truly unaware, as this one short commute to dinner and back demonstrated. Really nice riding truck. He has both the rivian and this one.

🚨🚨🚨 Edmunds first published this as hit piece saying the Cybertruck failed to meet range targets (despite that supposed miss being ~1%). Twitter folks had to jump on Edmunds to make them acknowledge their false report by showing that they ran on All Terrain wheels, which have a lesser range of 318 miles and not 340 miles due to the higher rolling resistance. Edmunds clearly has an anti Tesla bias, and it takes a Twitter community notes slap on the face to keep them honest.

@edmundscars also, people do not give a crap about mixed consumption, 318 miles range is good for 98% of day to day driving as they might only drive 70 miles average a day and then plugin. If you know you know. Would you do the same test with a gas powered vehicle? The CONSTANT "range anxiety" video barrage is total nonsense. Whether the video indicates a perfect range rating or not is irrelevant in my opinion because on a daily basis for the majority of drivers it's not something you think about. I own a 2020 Model Y I'm approaching 60k miles and I can tell you I've experienced range anxiety 0 times. You charge your vehicle at home overnight, you wake up and you go to work, you run your errands, you go wherever you want and you plug it in at the end of the day. IF you road trip or drive an unusually large number of miles on a particular day you utilize the supercharger network, they are everywhere and operate 24 hours a day. Perhaps the charging infrastructure for other brands would leave you high and dry, but in my opinion this battery range test/talk is beating a dead horse, just buy the damn Tesla and never look back!

Cybertuck driver is like a Parent of a Child Celebrity when you accompany them. The public will only show interest on your child but not you.

unfortunately looks early 8-Bit Nintendo, or like one of those crazy (uncollectible) Hot Wheels "fantasy" cars targeted at kids 3-5 years of age. oh yeah, how did Tesla NOT discover in all it's testing (ref: 4 years of waiting and development) that those covers would dig into the sidewalls and possibly blow the tires...? that's just as bad as the Ultium software glitching out on the Blazer EV. i mean isn't anybody paying attention...? the Engineer overseeing development of Suspension/Wheel, and Tire had ONE JOB...!!!

Is this a joke? Refrigerator on wheels? You didn’t even mention the price because you know no one would actually buy it.

A modern day Pontiac Aztec. My god that thing is embarrassingly hideous.

Who cares; only someone desperately insecure and seeking attention would buy one! What were they thinking?

Yeah..what? People buy these because they are fast, original, comfortable, have incredible utility, tech, on and on. You sound pretty miserable tbh…
